About this listen

Welcome to a very different kind of trucking book.

Knowledge is power. Let this book walk you through each step in your truck driving career from prospective student to becoming a trainer.

Trust me - It was really tough for me to learn how to drive a truck and get my CDL. It was even tougher dealing with a company that often did not have my best interests at heart. I had to learn by costly trial and error without a mentor to guide me. I wrote this book for you because I don't want you to suffer this same fate.

Please allow me to be your guide to help you avoid the pitfalls that await the unwary. If you are considering getting a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), read Secrets the Trucking Companies Don't Want You to Know! before making a decision to become a truck driver.

Trucking companies paint a deceptively tantalizing picture of the profession. They have to, because they have a huge driver turnover and need to constantly recruit and train new prospects to take the place of those who have moved on to more suitable professions.

Listen to this book and learn the truth about what it is really like to drive a truck. Allow this book to guide you through the minefield of trucking choices. Learn to sidestep being brainwashed into making choices that only benefit the company. You will emerge not just unscathed, but victorious!

I have been looking into this career for sometime. I've heard most of this from time to time but it's great to have it orgwnized for review and to see through the smoke screens a little clearer. Thanks, Yvonne.

This book is great for only the very beginner. Very well narrated too. However, the title can be misleading for those looking to know the deeper truths of the mechanics of the transportation industry. I mean, I learned more just talking with 2 driver trainers with 5 and 10 yrs exp. about the hard numbers of the job.

Warning for those looking for more depth.

while this book has plenty of accurate information it also has inaccurate information overall I gave this book three stars on a five but I do think the author should come back and update this book as of January 2021 the book seems to be a little inaccurate . either I haven't got to the section that talks about ELD electronic logging devices or they didn't have them when this book is written and that is Major in trucking .

this book reads like visiting a grandmother who never gets to talk to anybody until someone comes over then talks their ear off about every stupid detail you never wanted to know about. if there actually really was trained secret I missed it
