About this listen

A trucker, a blogger, and a congressman determine the fate of the most powerful empire the world has ever known.

Americans are angry and divided along party lines. They’re tired of the endless wars, high gas prices, and high unemployment. They’re tired of the graft in DC and on Wall Street. They’re tired of being spied on and herded like cattle into the prison industrial complex. Like in years before, they’re certain that, this time, their guy will change everything. The Republican and Democratic saviors make their promises, and the true believers swoon, but domestic terrorists aren’t buying what these politicians are selling.

Truck driver George Chapman is in the right place at the right time to foil an assassination attempt on one of the most influential men in politics. Some might say the reluctant hero was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Some might say it was a false flag. Nonetheless, his 15 minutes of fame grows because of his extraordinary gift. Will he use his gift and newfound fame to unite the country or to tear it apart?

A revolution is coming. Which side are you on?

This story defies a genre label!

I’ve recently discovered Phil M. Williams’ Books, it’s not like they were lost more like I was. While this is the second book of his that I’ve recently listened to, this one left me wondering what I had listened to. I went into it believing I was going to listen to a political thriller, and yep that was true. However, it also felt like a conspiracy theory-based thriller, but then again there was enough political and economic theory wrapped in up in the story line not to mention current events that felt like I had stumbled mistakenly stumbled into the current history section of the library/bookstore. Not only is this an excellent story that is woven from so many elements, but it’s also only fitting as it has multiple narrators. Sarah Grace and Tristan Wright do an awesome job of bringing each character to life, not to mention bringing the entire story to life. I doubt a single narrator could have even come close to the level of the Wright’s work.

THINK FOR YOURSELF

Phil Williams is an insightful, talented author. This was the second of his novels Ihave listened to from Audible. Fortunately, there a half-dozen more to enjoy and think about. I am a retired journalist who worked in and around Washington, DC for almost 40 years. The author's assessments are sadly accurate. I'm old now and don't waste my time listening to crap. This is a very good book, start to finish if you are a person brave enough to think for yourself. Sheep are sheared and eaten, remember that.

A Must Read/Listen Relevant Political Thriller

Sedition by Phil M Williams is a must read/listen to novel correlating to reality of politics in the US. The novel is thought provoking, scary, and extremely hard not to continue listening to for hours on end. Well thought out, researched and full of educational tidbits. The characters are thoroughly developed to the point the reader/listener becomes involved in their lives and cares about them. Another great novel by Phil M. Williams. I've read or listened to many of his novels and he never disappoints! I can't say enough praises for and highly recommend Sedition.

Political but Powerful.

Another well written, eye opener from Mr. Williams. This book was written in 2018. Unfortunately it is still relevant today, 2023. I heard all the political problems, but I really enjoyed the story. Wonderful characters. Edge of your seat plot. Abuse. Violence. Kindness. Love. A messed up world.
I listened to Audible version of this book. 18 hours long, but so worth my time. Make sure you can put everything aside. Once you start, you won't be putting it down.
I just love these two narrators. They perform these characters wonderfully. 5 stars for them, too.

great knowledge of the subject

phil has a great understanding of the anarchist philosophy. it's not what the mainstream wants you to think that's it's looting rioting and murdering with out rules. it's to not hurt anybody and don't take their stuff. this book was a story that followed these principles and it became a movement that the government did not llike. I highly recommend this book

You can't go wrong here... unless you're a statist

There isn't a lot of action, but the author does a good job with character development, the story is interesting and pulls at those emotional strings that keeps you listening. At 18 hours, this book is an extremely good value for the credit (or cash). My favorite part is the political perspective shared throughout the book; one which is this author's specialty, but which is very hard to find in novels these days. Phil does an excellent job explaining the voluntaryist positions without sounding judgemental or preachy. Unless you're a statist, I think you'll really enjoy this book.

Political Page-Turner

Phil M Williams has written a political thriller that I found fascinating and riveting. The author's passion regarding the subject matter and his research into the material are very evident throughout the book. Phil's writing stye and his character development make this tale both memorable and thought-provoking. I recommend this story to others who enjoy this genre. Sarah Grace Wright's and Tristan Wright's narrations are delightful and entertaining. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Sedition Equals FREEDOM

To be honest I passed over this book several times before reading it. It was also hard for me to get engaged as I whinced at each turn feeling what the characters must have felt if real. The reason for both is that the topic seemed too close to home. I pick entertainment based on that, entertainment, and shy away from topics that seem to mirror life. My life has enough drama in it and as such I look for an escape from my day to day problems. Despite my resistance I was able to go all in with the book with the characters seemingly becoming like part of the family or as opponents and villians I know. I really enjoyed the book, was moved by the story and highly recommend it to all, especially young adults and individuals whoTRULY WANT TO learn more about US Politics and Economy. Thank you Phil for a great and moving story.
