About this listen

After the stroke, Kate's husband was a different man...Cruel, abusive, violent. Divorce was her only salvation - but not for her daughter and son. By law, they were required to visit their father. And endure his terrible rage.

So Kate decided to run away. To start a new life for herself and her children. To find safety in the arms of another man...

That was when her nightmare really began...

See How she runs

I liked this book.I found some issues keeping people seperated since the narrator ran sentences together.A break between characters would be nice.Good story.Great suspense! Anna Marie Peloso was a fine narrator besides the above.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'

Pretty good

I was given a free copy in return for my honest review.

I didn't care for the narrator, so it took a while to get into the book, but once I did, I enjoyed it. There wasn't a mystery as such, but the story of a woman trying to save her children from a violent, abusive husband. The writing was convincing enough that at times I wanted to stop listening because of what the woman was going through. I told myself that everything must surely work out in the end, I just needed to get there.

I would listen to another title by the author, but not the same narrator.

staccato narration

I struggled my way through four chapters before finally giving up on this book. The monotones staccato narration was very annoying and the writer did very little to develop the characters. I don't like giving negative reviews but this one might save someone from investing time or money in this product.

horrible narration

I could have probably liked this book and I did listen to it till the end. Ther narrator was horrible! She had a dead tone and when the book skipped between different characters it was very hard to follow. It truly sounded like a fourth grader learning to read.
