About this listen

The first book in a trilogy about three brothers and the girls they must protect.

All Christiana wanted was a little flirty fun. What she got was a one-way ticket to her personal nightmare. Her friend is dead, and she knows who did it. Now a key witness in a murder trial, she's been hidden away in the one place no one will think to look for her: Eton Preparatory School for Boys.

It's a stupid move. Insane. But she doesn't have a choice. Instead of completing her senior year with the popular crowd, she's being forced to hide in a school with exactly zero XX chromosomes. Even worse, she's somehow supposed to act like the Neanderthals walking the halls. But then she meets the guys next door - the smoking-hot ones. And it doesn't help that one in particular could unravel her in a heartbeat...and potentially blow her cover.

How's she supposed to resist Trey Calloway, the star hockey player who never backs down from a fight, and who never takes no for an answer? She's supposed to be focused on staying safe, not on the guy who's getting under her skin. Her chilling past isn't going to suddenly disappear. In fact, it might just be catching up with her.

Nice Book (Young Adult!)

Sooo.... this showed up on my FB ads and I jumped on it. Why? Because I love the whole... girl dresses up as a guy thing. The story itself was written well (which is always nice), and I don’t have any complaints about the flow, or the narrators. I loved the narrators. Both were fantastic and I found nothing annoying about them. They were a good team.

I have ONE complaint. And it’s super duper shallow. I wasn’t aware that this is a Young Adult Book. To me, it straight up is. And why? Because there was absolutely no boom boom time. And I honestly assumed there would be cause it was in the RP.

I wanted boom boom time. I won’t lie. And I think listeners should know that there isn’t any.

I know it’s shallow! But otherwise, very nice listen.

Exciting Journey!

A girl being hidden in an all boys school makes an exciting story. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel do a super job narrating it.

Male narrator is terrible

The male narrator is all wrong for this book. He sounds like a 35-40 yr old man instead of a high school senior. The girl is ok. There are several times throughout the book that you can hear stuff in the background (phone ringing, person talking). I feel like I would’ve liked the story more if I would’ve read it instead.

fantastic read for young adults

Young adult books are generally not something I read but this one held my attention and kept me guessing. I would recommend this for young people. The narrators did an awesome job of bringing these young characters to life.

Worth Your Time :D

Ok people, before I start gushing let's get one thing out of the way
Christiana is a stupid girl who doesn't know a lick about being careful when there is a guy trying to KILL her .. I mean, geez

Now I'm done.. let's begin .. I loved this book so much, it has the aspect I love the most, suspense, a girl disguised as a boy .. and a brotherhood to live for :D Terry was a great love interest ( although I'm a Riley girl myself ) but he is sincere and had an interesting back story, I wish if he discovered that she was a girl in another way but it was fine.. EEEPPPP I can't wait to see how will Kade ( The Lone Wolf ) will find his girl to protect .. this is a really feel good book despite all the killing and revenge thing .. so yeah .. I loved it and I am soo ready to begin book 2 :)

The narration was really good and I would recommend this audiobook :) I got it as a part of the Romance Package which I am in LOVE with :D

Time to start book 2!

My favorite genre, romantic suspense, is fully encapsulated in this first book in the series. Christiana witnesses a murder and is put into protection so she can testify against the killer. Living in a boys boarding school is not as easy as she thought it would be, but the chance to put the killer away for killing her friend is important not to stay. Here she meets her new family, Trent, Riley and Cade who will do anything to protect her. Thrown into more than they bargained for, this new set of friends is put to the test and Christiana's family's true colors are revealed. This book is action packed, with school bullies, crime families and teenage romance all in one fast paced book! Great start to this series.

Tor Thom and Charley Ongel bring this book to life with its vast array of characters. The two are able to go from teenager to adult voices with ease and give you the feelings of angst and fear, worry and pain as well as hate and love. Always a pleasurable listen!

The narrator...UGH!

I feel like the book would have been better if I would have read it. The narration was brutal. The guy sounded old and like he was stuck in the 50’s. I haven’t decided if I’m going to get the next one yet.

Suspend your disbelief, HARD

2 chapters in, and I will struggle with this one. There has to be a definite suspension of disbelief here. There is no feasible way to hide a girl in a school full of teenage boys. Putting a girl in a school full of boys with no protection is not even close to smart. How will she shower? Not to mention the monthly supplies she will need on hand. Teenage boys beat on each other. Any kind of physical activity is geared toward working with boys' aggressions. And that's before really thinking about it.
The story kept my attention, despite the jarring (to me) impossibility of a girl in a boys school.. I didn't have the noted issues with the male narrator, and I really really like the way the narration is done.
I will listen to the next one.
