Salem's WICH-TV program director Lee Barrett is about to discover no good deed goes unpunished....

Lee has been promoted from field reporter to program director. Lee's detective beau Pete Mondello wants to talk to the "Jane Doe", but before he can investigate, he's called to a crime scene. A body has been found washed up in a narrow harbor cove. As harmless as her new houseguest seems, Lee can't help but wonder if she may be harboring a killer....

I enjoy this series. They are really fun cozy mysteries set in Salem. I started listening to the first one on my way to Salem for a long weekend. And I’ve been hooked ever since!

I have listened to the free trial books 1, 7, 10, & 11. Well now I'm hooked. EXCELLENT series. The characters are engaging, the setting in Salem is perfect, and the plot for each book pulls you into the story.
C.S.E Cooney narration is spot on. This series is a go for me.
I am now purchasing the books I've not heard and keep doing so.

i e read all previous books and thoroughly enjoy all the main and supporting characters. Great storyline as well. Spoiler glad they are finally going to marry them two!

Lee Barrett has been moved into a producing position at WICH-TV and is a little overwhelmed. She's missing all the action when a man is found dead. Then, Lee runs into a woman who seems to have some sort of amnesia. Both the murdered man and the mystery woman seem to be connected to something bigger. Can Lee figure out what's going on before someone else ends up dead?

I think we all know that I adore this series! I love Lee as a character and I'm loving reading about all of her adventures. I love Aunt Ibby and the Angels. I love Pete so much! This one did make me a little nervous for Lee, though! The developments in Lee and Pete's relationship made me so happy, though! I cannot wait to read the next one!

I thought I was getting pretty good at figuring these out and yet this one definitely had me on the edge of my seat up until the very end. Well done can’t wait for more.
