Publisher's summary

Sentinals Justice is the third book in the saga of Remargaren, a vibrant, ancient world of high fantasy suffused with magic and adventure.

The third installment of the Sentinal series takes us to the frozen north, to the Grand Duchy of Elothia. Border tensions with Elothia force King Benedict to send a diplomatic envoy to sue for peace. Benedict has his hands full with Vespiri and Terolia, he can't afford a war on his northern border as well. Commander Jerrol Haven is sent to broker peace. Having met Grand Duke Randolf the 13th before, Jerrol hopes their previously successful negotiations will assist in a speedy resolution and allow him time to discover how to rescue Birlerion from the Ascendants.

Meanwhile, the Chapterhouse has received a request for a scholar to assist in searching for signs of the Sentinals in Elothia. Taelia is assigned the task, because Scholar Torsion is also missing after the attack at the Watch Towers.

Amidst escalating tensions and conflicting needs, Jerrol journeys to Elothia, hoping to meet with Randolf before the Ascendants can influence him. Escorting Taelia is an unexpected bonus. Can Jerrol stop Elothia and Vespiri from going to war? Will they find more Sentinals? And can they find out where the Ascendants took Birlerion and Torsion before it is too late.

Sentinals Justice concludes the opening trilogy...though the adventure will continue!

The determination of the Ascendants to destroy

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Narrated by Matt Coles, who once again elevates this harrowing intense story to grand levels that makes this third seriously an unforgettable journey. Commander Jerrol Haven and the Sentinals cannot catch a break as the Ascendants are launching their most brazen attach by " influencing " the generals serving the Grand Duke of Elothia and forcing a war with Vespiri. Sent to hopefully bring to peace to the two country's, Jerrol accompanied by Scholar Taelia and a few trusted Sentinals find themselves encountering something as off with Elothia once they arrive... only gets even worse when Jerrol accused of false crimes, assaulted and conscripted into the Elothian army. With Taelia and the Sentinals desperate to find and rescue Jerrol, discover exactly just how corrupt the country has become under the Ascendants. As war explodes, Jerrol will sacrifice everything he has in order to deliver a great defeat of Ascendants to prevent grander, bloody consequences.

Definitely highly recommended.

Great book. Again.

This is a pretty good series.
If you've read / listened to the first 2 books you're going to like this one.
I got this book for free with the expectation of an honest review.
I like to review a book for what it is and not necessarily what my feelings are.
If you like this genre, you will like this book.
It's well written and narrated.

Great Book but Now It's an Adult Read

Parents: Unfortunately this one has a couple of pretty detailed bedroom scenes, making this more of an adult read.
Language: PG
Violence: PG-13
Sexual content: R - two pretty graphic sex scenes, at least they were married but it felt unnecessarily detailed for this series

This has been a fun series and friendly to the younger middle school readers until you get to this book. The story and world stay very engaging and keep the fun complexity, but the relationship goes to the next level in this book and suddenly throws you into some pretty graphic bedroom scenes. I'm going to be honest and say that while I still really loved the book I was disappointed that I could no longer let my teens read them.

If you haven't read the first two just keep in mind that these are not stand-alone books, you do need to read them in order. It's a great series if you enjoy adventure, mystery, mind control, and deception.

The narrator has fantastic and diverse character voices!

Absorbing Fantasy Adventure

I enjoyed book 3 of the "Sentinal Series" a lot. The Ascendants influence was rising, war was on the horizon, and two key players were missing. Commander Jerrol Haven was sent as a diplomatic envoy to the Grand Duchy of Elothia. Taelia accompanied Jerrol to complete her own mission. The story was convoluted and full of intrigue. There was plenty of action. I appreciated the characters and their interactions. I liked the humor and magic that flowed throughout the tale. Matt Coles' narration was awesome, and his performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Magic and intrigue

This was book three in the series, but could be read as standalone. There is enough backstory woven through the narrative that all the characters are fully fleshed out as well as their relationships.
The story surprised me several times — I never knew what twist was coming next, which was great writing.
With war looming, there were plenty of action scenes and a tangled web of politics. The worldbuilding was top notch.
Matt Coles' narration was perfect for the story and he did a great job with all the different voices.
