Publisher's summary

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 Timothy 3:1

Mason Lot’s group has found refuge in the Appalachian Mountains and managed to survive the Great Tribulation’s first wave of destruction known as the Seven Seal Judgments. However, things will only get harder from here.

Across the globe, austere conditions push people into desperation. Led by starvation and base instincts, many regress into savagery, raiding and marauding to find sustenance.

The mountain town of Bryson City, North Carolina is no different. Mason’s group is violently attacked by a group of predatory prowlers. When the smoke of battle clears, the path forward becomes even more obscured. One of the attackers turns out to be a relative of Billy Abernathy, the young man from Redemption Ranch who brought the group to his grandmother’s farm in Bryson City.

Even if they find a way through the tension and conflict caused by the group’s latest addition, they’ll have seven trumpet judgments to endure. Blood, hail, and fire will rain down from the heavens, alien creatures will torment the planet, and a global war will annihilate a third of Earth’s remaining population.

Some members of Mason’s group will not survive the Almighty’s barrage of wrath. But in the planet’s final hours, living to suffer another day is no great prize.

Don’t miss this gut-wrenching account of the end times. Jump into the adventure today!

As with all works by Mark Goodwin, this book contains no profanity and no embarrassing sex scenes. However, if you're offended by conservative principles and references to Scripture, this book might not be for you.

Thrilling Story; Angry Reader

Great story and sequel to Book 1! Sadly, the reader makes the main character always sound angry and gruff. It is definitely worth reading or listening to still though.

Interesting pre trib PA story

I like the author’s work. Fair Biblical treatment of varied end times scenarios. Morally solid, good characters.

Excellent narration

I’m a fan of Mark Goodwin’s writing. The characters of this novel, due to both the writing and the narration, brought more emotional responses than other books I’ve listened to. (The words “Boss Man” said in the twang made me more irritated than Mason showed.). This is another repeatable read(listen) by Mark Goodwin. I eagerly await the next book.

Excellent looking at the prophecies of the end of the world.

Thoroughly enjoyed the new series. Brings back me to the days of reading the revelations and how it is foretold. Definitely, will be downloading more of it.

Really good and pretty realistic

I have liked all of Mark Goodwin’s books, and this one has been no exception. I appreciate the way he writes compelling narratives, weaves in character-appropriate challenges, situation-specific obstacles and adventures, and he doesn’t hold back on how bad things can get in a spiritual or physical sense without also painting grossly specific descriptions and narratives. The narrator also does a great job. Love this book and series, so far!

Addictive

Just like most of Mark's books, this one is also hard tonstop reading/listening. One thing that makes me like his books so much is that all the events seem like something that could really happen in the way it happens in the book.
just red the book and you'll understand what I'm talking about

Awesome book

As always, his books never disappoint. Christian oriented. There’s not been a book of his I haven’t enjoyed.

The narrator brings the story to life

What I like about this series:
Scripture before each chapter that sets the stage for the chapter
It’s a subject matter that fascinates me
The author is excellent
You’re not missing out on any action just because there’s no foul language
And the narrator killed it bringing forth all the characters
The only downside is Book three is not out on Audible yet… MAJOR BUMMER!
