About this listen

Darrell Donnelly and his daughter Laykin embark on their yearly hiking trip to a scenic and remote part of the Ocala National Forest. What started as a long weekend turned into a fight for survival as the hikers attempt to return home in the face of civil unrest and lawlessness, the aftermath of a coordinated attack on the power grid and most electronic devices.

During the journey, Darrell faces a struggle to get his daughter home safely, yet hold firm to the values he holds so dear. Will he have to become what he hates the most?

What will a father do to make sure his family is safe? What physical and mental boundaries must he cross?

Three Days to Eden is a post-apocalyptic thriller about a father's love in the face of overwhelming odds and a young lady's ability to do extraordinary things when her back is against the wall.

Story is great.

Audio narration a little fast, could use some better pauses between sentences and paragraphs, made it a little hard to follow in places. Love the story, now to get the next one in the series.

gripping with emotion and adrenaline

I'm not a reader. but I will listen to a book every once in a while. this book had me gripped with emotion, anger, excitement and more. I found myself actually motivated to be more prepared on what could actually one day be a real truth. Pete wrote in such a way you could cost your eyes and see everything in detail. some of which you may not want to. looking forward to the of the series

Decent story but a little to like Going Home for my taste.

Three Days to Eden was an okay read for me. The story had some potential, but it felt a little too similar to Going Home in its themes and pacing, which made parts of it feel predictable. The biggest issue I had was with the timelines, which were off in several places, causing some confusion while following the plot. Additionally, there were multiple instances where pronouns were incorrect—specifically, “he” was used when referring to a girl, which pulled me out of the story.

Despite these issues, I still enjoyed the overall concept and can look past the mistakes. While not perfect, it was a decent read that kept my attention, earning it 4 stars from me.

Narrator did a phenomenal job. I am looking forward to book two.

Great story

Great story. Well written. The only downfall is the writer looks like a platypus and fire martial bill had a baby while in a bad relationship. Otherwise, great book!

Loved it

A man and his daughter’s journey home after an EMP strikes while they are away camping. This book has everything. Suspense, heartache, drama, action and what is most lacking in our society morals. You will not be disappointed in n this books approach to survival during a difficult time.

Three Days to Eden

Great narration by Chris Ennis. He really brought the characters to life. Kept me wanting to listen to the whole book. Have previously read the series, now I want more on audible. Pete/Chris keep up the good work.

Very solid book - super enjoyable

Yes, This book seems to have been inspired by Going Home (the authors are friends, after all), but Three Days to Eden has enough of its own character to distinguish it from other books in the prepper genre. The focus on the main character and his daughter's relationship is key - and as a father it speaks to me. The big twist was pretty easy to suss out early, but it didn't detract from the story. Overall, it's a fun book and sets the table for a world worth exploring with the author in subsequent books. I really enjoyed this book and I think you will as well.
