Publisher's summary

Each choice we make creates worlds

Living with infinite possibilities and parallel earths means you have the ability to find the exact circumstances you desire. Unfortunately, only a few can Shadow Walk between the worlds intentionally.

Those who have mastered shadow walking became gods

Odin, Zeus, Enlil, Brahma, and Kali were master shadow walkers. Rafe is a man who can walk between the worlds like a god. In search of the worlds of his desire, Rafe encounters the darker side of the universe. Beyond the worlds where humans live, there are worlds where Chaos reigns. Deep within the Worlds of Chaos are places so incomprehensible they drive men mad. In this place which is neither dark nor light, where no rationality or order is possible, there are things that live beyond time and space, things that hunger for all things.

From the darkest place comes the Scourge,

and it slowly intrudes into the shadows of order, bringing madness to both Man and world. It is up to Rafe and his army of Walkers to unite and to seal the way against the Scourge, before the stain of the Scourge's touch can twist all worlds everywhere into madness.

A real test for your imagination

Would you listen to Shadow of Worlds again? Why?

Yes. It is really a complex story which includes philosophical references and takes 'we are what we think' to a new level. Plus, author's way of describing the scene is very detailed and unique. You can really feel the athmosphere of the places described in the book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rafe. I really like the idea of a human superhero who, thanks to his intelligence elevates his level of consciousness and masters special skills. Also, his character helped me to grasp the idea of shadow walking which is a key concept of the book.

What does Geoff Metcalf bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His interpretation of various characters. Also, the ability to create an atmosphere with his voice especially when describing tense scenes and new places which the main character and his companions come accross.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, I had to listen to some scenes several times though to get a full picture. The author is a master of detailed descriptions and analyses and some parts can be quite challenging. A real test for your fantasy!

Any additional comments?

This is a book that you need to reserve time to listen to. It is definitely a read for those who love the feeling of being a part of another world where you can forget about the reality.

This book will really stretch your imagination

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Indeed. This was a can't put down epic continuation on this story. The characters are well done. A unique scifi setting. Its just keeps going and going into craziness and I found myself not wanting it to end. Definitely worth buying! I would recommend it to all my friends cause most of them are Science Fiction fans.

What did you like best about this story?

I really like the main character, and I hope to be reading more about him in the near future! The plot is excellent and the adventure non-stop. Lead character is better defined and as you read, author very clearly describes his thoughts. Excellent writing!

Have you listened to any of Geoff Metcalf’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I have not because this is my first Audible book. The narrator, Geoff Metcalf, gives a good performance, the reading is fantastic and the extra dimension he adds to a brilliant story is something to appreciate as you listen to this book. I look forward to the next book.

Any additional comments?

If you like sci-fi, you'll definitely love this series. So, if some of the reviews have discouraged you, keep in mind that you may actually be delightfully surprised!
