About this listen
The grisly murder of a diplomat’s son in Central Park draws NYPD Detective Gerald Meeker and FBI Special Agent Andee Trakes into a twisted and confusing investigation. Within hours, the evidence indicates the man was executed in the manner saved for werewolves. Andee Trakes is assigned to liaison with a history professor who is an expert on folklore and legends.
Professor Alwyn Lloyd, handsome, articulate, and successful, not only agrees the method of death was indeed an execution, he claims to be a werewolf. Andee is torn between the desire to date the man and the suspicion to arrest him.
From the initial killing in the park, a bloody spree is ignited that soon has Andee and Lloyd forced to work together to protect themselves and family members.
Shadow of the Moon explores the world of werewolves and paints a picture of what is good about them as well as bad. The story explains what is beautiful as well as ugly about the wolf. The story is fast-paced and full of interesting characters and several twists and turns to keep both the fantasy as well as the suspense and romance enthusiasts entertained.

Story
Nate knelt beside the dead girl. This wasn't his first homicide, it wasn't even the first dead prostitute he'd investigated. It wasn't the first strangling death he'd been assigned to. But this one bothered him. Maybe it was her youth; she appeared to be in her early twenties. Maybe it was her looks, as death had yet to rob her of her beauty. Maybe she reminded him of his own daughter, Lizzie, who was only a few years younger. Maybe it was something else entirely.

A book you can sink your teeth into!
Loved this book! My first by this author and I was not disappointed. An FBI agent, Adeline, is slated with investigating the murder of a diplomats son. She is to be the liaison to the UN and assist the NYPD from the periphery. Her close friend and pseudo father is the detective in charge and from the beginning the case stinks. Werewolves aren’t real, are they? She seeks out an expert in myth and soon finds herself struck by the mans magnetism as together the try to solve the case and evade retribution. Excellent fantasy sci fi thriller with intense heat! Cant wait for more! The narrator was fantastic! I received a free review copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Captivating, and Intriguing
I received this copy for free, for an honest review. The story was an amazing twist on and old tail. The love interest had you wondering, and frustrated waiting for the final out come. The narration awesome, PJM had the professor down to the point I swear he was talking directly to me.

First Werewolf Read in 65 years
Would you consider the audio edition of Shadow of the Moon to be better than the print version?
Timing is everything. As a dyslexic, I struggle to read, but Kwen Griffeth, channeled (read) by Paul J. McSorley has once again captured my mind and held me hostage. Fast moving dialog, concise descriptions of setting, and expressive diction suspended reality and allowed me to relax into the story. Thank goodness for Audible and the technology we have today. I can't wait to see the movie!
Have you listened to any of Paul J. McSorley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Paul J. McSorley rivals my third grade teacher, Mrs. (Elsie) Cease at story telling. Mr. McSorley's voice took me on a time travel adventure back to the half hour after lunch between 12:30 and 1:00 when the class would put our heads down on the desk and listen.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Even on a cloudy night, you will know if the moon is full...

Didn’t want to stop listening!
I would recommend Shadow of the Moon to anyone who likes Crime/Fantasy books. Paul J. McSorley narration was excellent there was just one character’s narration I didn’t care for.
The story was great, fast paced and kept me hooked. I would of liked more character development but that would require the book to become a series (which would be amazing).

Paranormal Romantic Thriller
I love when authors combine multiple genres like Kwen Griffeth did in this book. This whole listen was absolutely captivating from the first minute to the last. We get a combination of romance with werewolves and law enforcement as well as a rogue. All the characters are very well written and we get a good background on them. This author is new to me, but I would love to listen to more of her work because this book really impressed me. Great writing and storyline, we get twists and turns throughout but everything ties together nicely; there isn't much of a cliffhanger.
The narrator did a wonderful job in this performance. I think he really captured the tone and intensity of the characters. His voice make this excellent story into a full blown masterpiece.
Can't wait for more by this author and narrator. This one was impressive.

Shifter tale with real depth
I like shifter romance-thrillers, and this one did not disappoint. The characters and situation had real depth to it. I won't give any spoilers here, but they went into areas of a shifter society I hadn't thought about. This sure did make it interesting. It was also very unique because I hadn't seen a lot of the things done in this book in other books. The writer did a great job
The narrator also rocked. Each character sounded distinct, like a real individual. His work definitely jacked up the emotional level.

Wolf Up!
This was my first werewolf audiobook. However, not my first Kwen Griffeth book. Nor was it my first audiobook by narrator Paul J. McSorley.
This book is extremely well written and extremely well performed and produced. It took me 2.5 days to finish this one. I was wrapped up in its romance, crime and of course, werewolf folklore brought to life by the words written and performance given.
One thing...why let Miranda off the estate so often? It’s just a mess when she leaves. Lol
Many, many thumbs up! And...Wolf Up!

Exciting story, great narrator
I received a free copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed the story. Iit was fast-paced with likeable characters and a really interesting storyline. I read along with the Kindle version of the book. The story is about an FBI agent investigating a murder in Central Park. There are supernatural twists in the story. The story flowed well. I did find the potential romance a little frustrating with the back and forth. But I was rooting for them. I hope there is a follow up book. .I read / listened to this straight through and stayed up way too late. I had to know how it turned out. I liked the narrator and thought he did a good job with both the male and female voices. The pacing and narration added to the overall enjoyment of the book.

Interesting take on the werewolf genre
What made the experience of listening to Shadow of the Moon the most enjoyable?
Not knowing where the story was really heading was definitely enjoyable and held my attention. The narrator was really great overall.
Which scene was your favorite?
I would have to say any scene with the niece was the best! Perhaps there is a story there??
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were frustrating moments and funny moments!
Any additional comments?
I would have given this story five stars but I had some issues with it. One was that they revealed some things in the end that had already been revealed. I blame that on editing. This story felt fresh, and I would recommend it!
