Not bad, good story

Shadow’s Legacy is interesting. Overall Shadow’s Legacy was okay. It was great to see an ending to Ethan and Kenzie’s story and to see what happened to Keirran after the Iron Warrior. A nice sneak peek to what the next Iron series will bring. I enjoyed it. Can’t wait. The narrator is good but I pictured someone else for some reason.

A Nice Set Up For The Iron Raven

I’ll be honest and tell you that I have only read The Iron King. So I’m way behind in the storyline. I do plan to read the rest of the series but, with the coming of The Iron Raven next month, I wanted to read this prequel novel to prepare.

I felt the author did an amazing job of filling in the blanks of the several preceding novels. And that I can continue into TIR up to date.

It also piqued my curiosity about the previous stories and how Ethan (who was a little boy in The Iron King) and Kenzie came to be and I especially would like to know Kenzie’s story.

The narrator did an amazing job and I was happy to start the new year off with this short but informative read.

Great start for the Series

It was a great book overall, but the pronunciation of the beloved characters names we’ve grown to love threw me a bit. I found myself fixated on how he said their names, but I still loved the story nonetheless.

Will try again at a later date.

I've started various books in the overall Iron Fey world by Julie Kagawa but have not really ever continued past the first book in that series (plus, it was a LONG, LONG time ago).

After this book began, I felt like there was a whole lot going on that I should have already understood. Since I didn't, I decide to wait and try it another time.

good story, poorly executed

I love Julie Kugawa's world. Her take on Fae and her interpretation of the characters is just great. with every book I've always thought with every book it would make an amazing anime. my frustration comes from the actual voice acting, specifically, the names. it's so distracting to hear Annwyl's name, frankly, butchered. to say nothing of Titania. I know it's minor, all things considered but it's just frustrating and breaks immersion of the story.
