Good quick writing

Smart short story. Enjoyable is a very good way to describe it, especially if you like Bardugo.

When Little Red is the Wolf

This side story is magical and has hints of Little Red Riding Hood sprinkled within it. The story of the woodland creatures is intriguing as well. It certainly has a grandmother-storytelling feel about it. A good story to read, even if you haven't read the Grishaverse books (yet).

Possibly my favorite read of 2016

Such a wonderful tale. Loved the fox and the villain--it doesn't happen all that often that I actually like the villain but it just couldn't be helped. They were both clever and charming. Will definitely be rereading this one over and over and over again as it is a close contender for my favorite book of 2016.

Lauren Fortgang was brilliantly cast as the narrator. Love her work and will definitely seek more of it out

Tw Gore

There's some sudden gore towards the end which is good to have a warning for since I found it quite alarmingly well written. I really love this story, it was crafted and delivered wonderfully.

Worth the listen

A quick fable-like story set in the Grishaverse when you want to listen to something but don't have a lot of time.

Good things, and bad, come in all sorts of packaging!

I learned similar lessons while growing up in New York City. As you grew up through your teenaged years, you learned to watch for what you didn't see right away. Like a boxer's feint before the big punch, a basketball player's crossover dribble or a Hienz Ward blindside block on an unsuspecting safety, if you fail to have a good sense of your surroundings and jump at the obvious or something seems "too easy", it is because it is. There is an old adage that states "do you know what you get when you "Assume"? You get an "Ass" of "U" and "Me".

I think the narrator did an excellent job. Pacing and inflect were spot on. I had read this story quite some time ago and it has lost none of
it's lessons.

Fantastic!!!

This was an endearing and amazingly written short story! I know I was unsure if I should spend a credit on it but… DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!!

the ending

ok so let me be very clear, I enjoyed every ounce of this story as well as did my children, but at the very end, when the shit hit the fan and there was a boom, bang plot twist every single last one of us was in a war which is actually good because that means that my babies were paying attention, it wasn't too long of a story, I paused throughout the book to ask questions, (my kids are 6 and 7 years old)), to make sure that they were paying attention, it was pretty easy to follow along, I usually speed up the books, but I slowed it down for the children and it was still an amazing, wonderful experience, a wonderful activity and beautiful, well-spent and invested family time. Thank you all so much for the too clever fox 🦊‼️💯💯😬💯💯

Love this Story (also a part of other book)

I love this story, such a clever twist! Note it's also a part of Leigh Bardugo's 'Language of Thorns'. So if you own that, no need to buy this. On the other hand, if you like this, definitely check that out!
