About this listen

Mirabella is running for her life when two huge, muscular alien warriors come to guard her. Will she lose her heart when she is…Shared by the Monstrum?

Mirabella is a reluctant ruler—she never asked to be the Ruling Member of the Sacred Seven—the governing body of Opulex. But things get much worse when all the other members of the Sacred Seven are murdered by a ruthless serial killer. Miri goes into hiding but help is on the way in the form of two huge, muscular Monstrum warriors who vow to guard her with their lives.

Saxon and Lynx are Monstrum Shifters. They can appear humanoid or Shift partially or fully into huge beast-like predators. The two have a special bond they formed as boys which enables them to be more effective warriors. However, it also means they have to share a mate…in every way. A past mating with the woman they both loved ended in tragedy, which caused them to put their hearts on a shelf and vow never to love again.

Miri feels an instant attraction to both the big Monstrum and they want her too, but the past stands in the way of their happiness. In the meantime, they have sworn to protect her no matter what. But when Miri’s fate takes her to visit the Oracle at Delphi Prime, their relationship is turned on its head. For on this strange planet, every male is required to have a “sex pet.”

When Miri pretends to “belong” to the two Monstrum warriors, will she lose her heart?

Cringe-worthy Narrator

I read this book and glad I did. The storyline was similar to previous Kindred books; however, I still enjoyed it. I love William and Gregory’s narration, but Elyce was awful, especially while narrating Sexton and male characters. Such hard emphasis on everything, especially curse and sex words. Eliminate Elyce’s narration and have William and Gregory narrate the entire book. Performance was 5 stars for William and Gregory and 1 star for Elyce.

I love this author

I'm not a big fan of this narrator though she did a lot of mousy voices I don't like that.

the female lead voice is horrid

I struggled to finish this kindred book. the lead female is awful. she enunciates weird and the way she voices the male characters is cringe. I do not recommend this book as it is. the story is good. but I just couldn't get into it. I struggled to finish the book.

Story was good. Narration was horrendous!

Elyce was a horrible reader! She has a slur and lisp which is made even worse by the slow reading speed. She makes Saxon sound like a demon. She also pronounced his name as Saxton. She mispronounced many words and emphasized words in a strange way. I struggled to listen to enough of this book to be able to leave a review. So many issues with her. I don't know who thought she could be a narrator when she can't read. William once again whispers when character is thinking. SO ANNOYING! Aside from that he did fine. Gregory did well. I will never listen to another book read by Elyce.

Story was good, though it took effort to separate the story from the narration. I like the universe E.A. has created and I always love to hate the females of Yonnie Six. I would recommend reading this book yourself. You'll enjoy it much better than listening to this mess.

Narration bad

The female narrator was terrible! The story was great but the female narrator was horrible. She needs to find another job.

Struggle-bus

EA is one of my favorite writers and this storyline especially is one of my favorite, but the female reader makes me want to give up. It's Lie-can NOT Licken ..... ugh there finally I said it. OMG - if you can focus on the story line then the book is just like the others in her Kindred series. Although, it could be more exciting I think. Plus EA please I beg you, no whispering its just blech in the voice actors. The male voice is tenured in this story and is pretty good.

Great story, not so much narrator

I'm a big fan of this series by Evangeline Anderson, and have read all of the books in it. This story is just as good as all the rest. The female narrator in this one makes it difficult to enjoy the story, though. She mispronounced words throughout, and her cadence was all over the place. The male narrators were much better so that helped.

Love the Story, but...

...the female narrator ruined the enjoyment I usually experience when I listen to the books in this series. The only thing that allowed me to enjoy myself listening to this book is the male narrator. PLEASE....never use this female narrator for any more books. Listening to her voice is like hearing nails on a chalkboard, extremely painful.

Replace The Narrator!

As a person who loves Evangline Anderson books also a woman of color who would always support women of color. I cannot listen to another book by Evangline if she has Elyce Anthony narrate more than one character 😳.

Elyce Anthony narration of both male and female in this book distorted the story. I didn’t even complete the book! Normally I would request a refund if the book is this horrible but I didn’t do it because of 2 reasons 1) The story wasn’t horrible it was the narrator. 2) I support the author.

The female character in this story was of African American descent but the narrator had her sounding like some stuck up white woman. Come on she didn’t have to make her sound like that. Horrible 🤨 Then she narrated the 2nd monstrums voice 🤮 it was too much. ONCE AGAIN IF YOU USE HER ONLY 1 Character.

Performance of Elyce

I did not like the performance of Elyce and her voice. The other two were great. That is the first time i leave a review after hearing a lot of books which indicates that i had really a Problem with the Performance.
