Not at all what I expected...

This was first foray into inspirational fiction. I wasn't disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was sorry when it came to an end. And it strengthened my own walk with God. What more can a book do?

Too preachy, but good story

Overall it was a good story, except it was way too preachy at times. I had to skip ahead for the endless dribble.

2nd in the series; each more moving

I was quite taken with the first book in this series and I am more in love with the characters than I was at the end of book one. No, not all the characters are perfect; some arrogant, some prejudiced, some very immature, some bullies. Yet cocooned around all is love that shows up in surprising ways. Can’t wait to start the next one. Christian reading. The story takes place mainly in a funeral home but there is nothing graphic or horrifying contained within. Recommended.

Must listen to this series.

This is the second book in this series. The first is, "Doesn't She Look Natural." Listen to it first and then this book, and last "She's In A Better Place." They are clean, enjoyable books.

These books are so down to earth good. The narator is great for this series.

Change in focus from 1st book in series

The first book was about divorce recovery. This book was an unexpected change in focus to racial prejudice and abortion.

With the same great narration as the first.

I love this series!

Unsettling news abounds.

In this, the sequel to "Doesn't She Look Natural," we learn some about anatomy and the embalming process. Don't you just love science? Jen is becoming more and more at ease in the process of preparing the remains of the deceased for viewing. She attends school now in order to become an embalmer. At present, she is under the tutelage of Gerald as his assistant. She discovers some more unwelcoming news and wonders how she's going to break this to her sons and mom. Especially her mom.

Clay may be headed for trouble with youngsters he's been hanging around with. He goes along with them in their search for catacombs. He begins to wonder whether they like him for him or for what he can provide for them. Well, if he doesn't wonder it, I sure do.

A man is looking for his own twenty something-year old daughter and somehow thinks she's going to go willingly back home with him. By the time he becomes aware of her location, he discovers she is now married and with child although her husband is currently deployed in the Mideast.
