Great Prayers For Your Daughter

This book offers a lot of great prayers and insight for raising girls. However loving this family so much and knowing the loss suffered immediately afterwards made listening to the narrators challenging because they sounded so detached and disconnected on such a very personal book. Also, their oldest daughter's name is Alena (A-lee-na, not A-lai-na)!

Narration was lacking

This is such an intimate subject and the narration greatly lacked intimacy and engagement. It was as if they were reading something formal and impersonal- instead of a caring book between two people who loved one another. The subject matter is great but I just couldn’t get into the narration.

Parenting Worries

I was drawn to the her daughter’s ministry on Instagram. Slowly I found myself drawn to stories of her mother. I stumbled onto this book and I am so grateful that I did. The story represented in this book represents parents walking out Philippians 4: 6-7. But, really more than that, It’s healing to me. 🥰

Too preachy and it's basically their life story

Too preachy, can't do it alone, need God, we know, we're all presumably Christians if we're listening/reading your book. wanted more than the basics, couldn't finish the book. I wanted a book on raising girls, not a church service in book form.
