About this listen

Set in late January and early February of 1891, during the time that Professor Moriarty declares in The Final Problem that Holmes had "incommoded" his plans, Holmes and Watson are visited by two charwomen and retained to clear the name of a drunkard lighthouse keeper who has been arrested and charged with the murder of a German man in Tynemouth, England.

After learning the name of the unfortunate German man, Gustav Oberstein, Holmes realizes that the case has much greater significance than the simple murder of a German in the Tynemouth lighthouse.

So begins a battle of wits between Holmes and Professor Moriarty. Holmes must determine the meaning of the German's last words and solve a mystery that will prevent the deaths of countless people in England and the Continent—a mystery that grabs the attention of the highest levels of the British government. Holmes's very life is on the line as he and Watson comb the English Northeast and the depths of London to solve the mystery of the Green Dragon and bring ruin to the Moriarty syndicate. The game is afoot!

Great Sherlock Holmes story!

Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Green Dragon by M.R. Rivera pits Holmes and Moriarty against each other again. This time, it’s a matter of national and international security that Moriarty’s current efforts are stopped! Of course, Sherlock’s brilliant mind solves the mystery and the case. The narration by Michael Langan is wonderful. He creates unique voices for each character and brings them snd the story to life.

Great Story

This was a great book/story. I just can not fathom the reason why there are so few books/stories featuring Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty going head to head. I am clamoring for more of these stories.

Better than most

There is an interesting story and new characters. It explains some of the background of Moriartys organization and how it functions. Nothing terribly Holmesian here but at least you won't be bored or annoyed.

A great journey

Once again Sherlock Holmes's quick mind and deductions never cease to amaze and astound me.
I am a groupie of Holmes, and am enamored with his mind. I got pulled in quickly and enjoyed it all. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a good job.
