This is the second book in this series by Melanie Karsak and I’m just as intrigued as I was with the Highland series of books from the same author. I’m working on getting through the classics but can only get through one of them before coming back to this author. I hope that someday someone makes a Series or Movies from these books.

I really enjoyed this sequel! The narration paired with a story of a strong female sold it for me.
I love Norse mythology and I loved listening to the character's story colored by it. The narration is perfection. Lesley Parkin has such a great accent and gives each character their own unique voice.
Author Melanie Karsak continues to build a beautiful world. I enjoyed the action and fight scenes in this installment. The love story isn't overbearing and complements the lead's character.
Once again, I look forward to the next book.

As always Melanie Karsak wrote a great story that is easy to follow with wonderful world building and characters you are definitely invested in. I liked the chosen narrator, I thought she did a good job portraying the different characters. Over all I would recommend the audio.

I really liked this book and the narrator whom takes me into another world everytime!! Her voice acting is amazing!!! The book was great. I thought the gender swap was funny and I liked the part where the author has decided to change for Yrsa. As much as I don't like death, I am glad she decided to keep the illness in the book.

Oh my, the feels! This series gets better and better with each installment! I love the fact that it is long, so I don’t finish too quickly. Nobody likes a premature ending. The characters draw you in until you feel attached to them in one form or another, and the plot is thick and intriguing!
