About this listen

It’s Andrew and Amanda’s turn...in duplicate.

We’re having twins.

Twins.

Which means my shooters are stronger than my brother’s. I win.

Yeah, yeah, everyone can say it’s not a competition, but it is.

And we all know it.

Two babies at once means double the fun, and double the misery for my poor wife, Amanda. While I’m growing a Fortune 500 company, she’s growing two entire human beings out of nothing but orange cheese snacks and ice cream.

Do you have any idea how hard I’ve worked during this pregnancy, tracking down orange smoothies for her?

Not to mention being forced to Facetime into a childbirth class on perineal massage, rescuing Chuckles the cat from being shaved bald by my two-year-old niece, and fighting with a wife who has named the twins Lefty and Righty.

By the time we hit the ninth month, my entire world revolves around pleasing - and protecting - her.

Even if it means humiliating myself in the name of love.

Wait a minute. Wait a minute, now.

Hold on.

Is she the one who’s winning?

Andrew and Amanda are back in the newest New York Times best-selling Shopping series book as they “beat” Declan and Shannon in the baby competition, but at what cost? As their future awaits them in the form of twins, Amanda and Andrew face ghosts from the past with wit, humor, and most of all - plenty of love.

Loved this one

It’s got great romance, hot sex, lol moments a plenty. It also has some very tender family moments and possibly life changing ones too. Great narration by Amy McFadden, thou I love Sebastian York as a male voice, the women have done better with both voices.

This series just keeps getting better and better!!

Julia Kent brings all the feels with this one. Laughter being first and foremost. She really excels at getting the most out of her narrators. Amy McFadden is superb as Amanda, but Sebastian York is the star here. I'm used to his sexy voice, but York doing a toddler is new. The word I'm looking for is hysterical. He had me laughing so hard I was crying. Julia keeps us on the edge till the very end. I'm so thankful I have the next book on hand so I can keep going! Am I ready for this series to end? Hell No!

the best part is every single one is the same.

Don't get me wrong, every book in this series tells a story of a family who has suffered great loss and found amazing Love and caring. the ability to move from one story to the next makes it even better. After reading the first one years ago when first published, I waited until the series was up to book 18 before purchasing the rest. I have been listening to the entire series, in order, for the last few months. EVERY time I complete one I immediately start the next, with excitement. I feel as if I know every character in each book personally. . I can't wait to see what happens with Carol and Amy, Pam, Leo, James, Hamish. there are so many more stories to be told and loves to find, children to be born, and so much more about Shannon's crazy mother. I hope it doesn't get boring for the author because it sure isn't boring for this reader! thanks, jill, for sharing this amazing group of people with me.

Entertaining

n this episode, Andrew & Amanda are expecting twins. We go through the pregnancy while they need to navigate morning sickness, food restrictions, and changing duties. They each reassess their priorities, figure out how to include family and friends and navigate their new lives.

There is a strong sense of competition between Declan and Andrew but I felt Declan had matured a little more through having a toddler, Ellie. Declan tries to impart wisdom to Andrew that life will change and possibly relationships after the birth of his twins.

I felt a range of emotions as Amanda & Andrew navigate the pregnancy. I could empathize with both future parents as they confront their fears, hopes, and day-to-day activities. I shuddered at the thought of eating only things made with orange food coloring for a trimester or more. Can you imagine Cheetos in smoothies, baked good and etc.!

This was a very funny book. Two narrators enhanced the story.

Great Read

Shopping for a CEO’s Baby (Shopping for a Billionaire #16) was another great read by Julia Kent. Andrew and Amanda a expecting twins and this makes Andrew feel as though he’s beaten his brother at this competition. Andrew feels as though he is endlessly tracking down orange smoothies for Amanda. Everything seems to revolve around Amanda even when he is still running a Fortune 500 company. I really enjoyed reading this latest installment in Amanda and Andrew’s story. I can’t wait to read more by Julia Kent.
