About this listen

Two roommates. One camera. A whole lot of action.

I get crushes the way some people get seasonal allergies. And sharing a house with four hot roommates is like being stuck in permanent spring. Too bad I keep getting friend-zoned.

But it’s senior year now, and I’m done pining for the impossible. Time to live it up and go out with a bang. Or a lot of bangs.

And I’m definitely, definitely not getting attached to anyone. Especially not my straight, gym-loving, football player roommate Sam, whose impressively large...smile I caught a glimpse of once. Or several times.

That’s why, when Sam asks me for help with a very special, very NSFW project so he can make a little cash, of course I agree. In the name of friendship.

And if it turns out that Sam’s more than just muscles - that he’s sweet, and smart, and a little bit filthy, and a whole lot less straight than I thought - well, that’s neither here nor there, because this time I’m gonna be smart. This time, I’m friend-zoning myself.

We’ve got a list of deliciously hot scenarios, a camera, and Sam’s huge...smile. What could possibly go wrong?

From the author of Want Me comes the third new adult college romance in the Extracurricular Activities series. Expect low angst, high heat, plenty of laughs, a flustered redhead, a gentle giant of a football player, and enough BDE to power a mid-size city.

I hate to leave this review because I adored the book so much but the narrator for Sam did not fit the description of the character AT ALL. He’s a great narrator, his voice was just a little too delicate (and maybe Canadian??) to believe it is coming out a big hunk of meat like Sam. I literally ended up reading all of the Sam parts and listening to the Jesse parts.

Loved the book, had a hard time with the narration

The story itself is thoroughly enjoyable, though it was marred slightly in the verbal retelling. The narrative deviation from previous books was a misstep. If this series continues, Kirt Graves should return as the exclusive narrator.

Narrator Issues

Another fantastic book in this MM college romance series! We’ve seen Jesse a few times in this series and I was excited for him to finally get his own story! It’s a forced proximity storyline as both are roommates and they are definitely total opposites! Jesse is openly gay and flamboyant while Sam is on the football team and is straight. One day Jesse discovers that Sam films videos for a gay site as well as only fans. He eventually offers his assistance to help Sam make good content to post. The whole book is super low angst, but with all the spice and a bi-awakening story along the way!

This book is the first in the series to have a narration by 2 people, Kirt Graves and Silas Whitaker. Silas Whitaker is a new to me narrator. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of his voice as it was just a little too high pitch for me for this male character. I have grown to really enjoy Kirt Graves though and he honestly made the whole narration for me!

Low angst with all the spice and a dual narration!

I love this series but I didn't not like Sam's narrator. sometimes it sounds like he's mocking the character instead of narrating

love this book

I loved this book and Kirt Graves but Silas Whitaker's performance didn't have any real emotions. He also sounded more like a older man than a college jock. I wish I could get a redo with just Kirt Graves.

Can I get a redo?

Kirt Graves is king, straight to jail for Silas Whitaker, wtf even was that?? Love the story though!

Silas Whitaker should be arrested for this performance

I loved this story it was a sweet romance of two roommates who find become friends, to lovers to life partners. Jesse has had a rough time dating always seeming to end up with people who don't stick around and or not looking for what he can offer. Sam is a person that doesn't like titles. When Jesse sets out to help Sam with his videos, he never thought that he would be falling hard for him. He tries hard to keep his feelings in check not wanting to be disappointed. Sam is struggling with how he feels. He is attracted to Jesse but is this a one off or is it more. This book just keeps giving the warm and fuzzy feelings. I loved their journey in finding each other and becoming more then just friends. These two are so sweet together it was completely heartwarming. I listened to this book on Audible and I did struggle a little with the new narrator as if felt like his voice didn't match what Sam would sound like, but it was still very enjoyable.

So Sexy

As with the first two books, I loved the boys and the journey to their HEA. I knew I’d love their banter. Sadly, the addition of the narrator for Sam’s POV was a real detractor. His voice for Jessie especially took me out of the element of the story. At any rate, I love all of the boys and really hope we get Chet’s HEA one day.

These two are adorable together.

i’m not sure why sam’s voice actor could give him a normal voice for his internal monologue but the stupidest…just unbearable dumb jock voice for his speaking voice. it’s so cartoonish that it’s almost unbearable. i’m avoiding this guy as much as possible going forward

sam’s voice actor hates jocks or something

College seniors making extra money with NSFW videos grow fond of each other. In the meantime, they get each other off in public, while making sure not to actually get caught, which is one of the many ways they are polite. I like that they don’t give up the videos as the romance progresses. Low angst while still being an engaging story. Minimum of toxicity generally. This is my first book by this author, iirc, & I want more immediately.

Steam: Med-Hot. More of a slow burn than I’d expected, the action does center around making explicit videos, which is mostly done on page. It’s fun how they lean into popular tropes and learn about each other in the process.

Narration; I liked the narration. I almost didn’t buy it because of the “I only like my fav narrator, not the other one” reviews. I was worried the voicing wouldn’t be age appropriate but it was fine. I don’t know why toxic superfans think harshing on a collab is helpful to their star. I like dual narrators generally. Maybe they genuinely don’t like any, or this, second narrator but as an outsider to their fandom, I didn’t hear a problem.

Charming and fun
