When murder silences the Christmas cheer in charming Arborville, New Jersey, Pamela and her Knit and Nibble pals must unravel the most bone-chilling mystery this side of the North Pole....
Pamela has been in merry spirits since her artsy daughter Penny returned home from college for the holidays. But their mother-daughter bonding time gets cut short when a terrified Penny stumbles upon the dumped body of Millicent Farthingale, a wealthy craft shop owner who was popular for all the wrong reasons.
From a scheming business partner to a seedy husband several years her junior, Millicent attracted scammers so in love with her assets, they'd toss her down a chimney to get their paws on them. Now, with only a hand-knit red scarf connecting the killer to the crime, Pamela and the Knit and Nibblers could use some extra creativity as they find out who's really naughty or nice in Arborville - because going up against a looming culprit is DIY or die!

Overall it was a easy listening experience. With a lot of patience you will enjoy the book. I’m going to download the next of the series.
Enjoyable listen.

Book #4 Good, but Not AS Good as Others

Slow going

There were so many useless descriptions of clothing, and food, and pouring coffee, and wedding china, and not having enough jade cups. Between that and weirdly specific descriptions of clothing types and colors that was 90% of the book.
I am quite disappointed to have wasted a credit. I have read the previous books and none were as bad as this so Ill discontinue the series at this point.
Very disappointing

No.

VERY little time is spent focusing on knitting yarn or the craft
The narrator should retire
She makes the characters seem overly hysterical immature and dim witted
Sadly I will not finish the series
I’m not sure I could handle making toast coffee or the best friends attire
Series completely miss named

The books are too slow and filled with busy body stuff that makes me cringe. It is the worst of all the awful trops about women of a certain age. I can't understand why authors can't write an interesting female character that does not fall back on the same old things.
The series is okay for a type of reader that sees themselves in the characters, but I could not find anyone like myself, nor did I want to. Just not for me.
The narrator is okay, just not good with male voices. The men sound like women with a little more gravel. Not terrible andprobably alright for the material.

Added to these sad tidings, the performance of the reader becomes downright annoying. Her lilt at the ends of sentences becomes so pronounced at some points that I wondered if she was asking me questions rather than telling me a story. All of the character voices were the same -- using the same hesitating, choppy dialogue with the familiar questioning lilt. The narrator turned interesting, caring, and intelligent characters into stereotypes -- such a travesty.
I'm sad to see this happen to such a promising series, but I can't recommend this book, especially to those who have loved the first few in the series, as I have.
