About this listen

#1 New York Times best-selling author Abbi Glines concludes the irresistible story of Woods and Della that began with Twisted Perfection.

Woods had his perfect life mapped out for him. Rise up the ranks of the family business. Marry the rich girl of his parents’ dreams. Pretend that wealth and privilege was all he’d ever wanted. Then a girl named Della breezed into town, a beautifully imperfect stranger who captured his heart and opened his eyes to a new kind of future. Woods is ready and willing to sacrifice everything for her when the sudden death of his father leaves him with his mother to care for and a business to manage.

Della is determined to be strong for Woods, even as she’s quietly falling to pieces. No matter how far from home she’s run, the ghosts of her past have never stopped haunting her. Struggling to hide her true feelings from Woods, Della fears she can’t be his rock without dragging him down into the darkness with her. But is she strong enough to let go of the last thing holding her together?

Liked it, didn't love it

Overall good story, I liked the twists in this book, went through a range of emotions listening to it! However, fellas accent seemed really forced at times and over the top. I love Sebastian York as woods... But not when he did Dellas voice- especially during the graphic parts... Kind of sounded creepy. I just fast forwarded through those. Still a good story and I enjoyed it!

Excellent!! Worth the wait!

If you could sum up Simple Perfection in three words, what would they be?

Unexpected. Brilliant. Love.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the story of Della and Woods. Thank goodness that I have a little closure on what happened to them. I've been wondering since reading Rush and Blaire's story when Blaire pulled the gun on that horrid woman what was going to happen to Della. Now I can sleep easy!

What does Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love Elizabeth Louise - she has an amazing narration voice, and acts - not just reads.

If you could take any character from Simple Perfection out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Woods - duh. I would eat him for dinner - yum!

Any additional comments?

I have to know what happens to Tripp and Bethy now!!! Please Abbi - write their story!!!!

Fabulous book with excellent narration

5 shiny stars for the second book to finish out Woods and Dellas story. It has all the feels, the steamy scenes and favorites from the Rosemary Beach series. Don’t miss it.

There is nothing simple about this book.....

If you're looking for a book that has some heat, passion, romance, and will twist your heart up a bit, this is the perfect pick for you! Although, this is part if a series. I recommend you complete Twisted Perfection first. Just be prepared to put on your big girl panties, grab the tissues, and hang on tight when you tackle this little gem. There were quite a few surprises in this book. The first half of the book moves along at a steady pace. The second half of the book nearly knocked the wind out of me. I won't go into detail and ruin the impact for you, but just know that you will never see some of these things coming. This book continues basically at the point Twisted Perfection ended. Della is starting to adjust to the fact that Woods really does love and want her, she still struggles with the issues in her past. She fears that she will hold Woods back in the long term and feels like he deserves more. Better. Like in the first book, there were times that Della just plain irritated me. She quickly jumps to conclusions and her insecurities can be frustrating. But, I also empathized with her. Her past has seriously wounded her. Despite the times I felt frustrated with Della, I still admire the fact that she isn't scared to take a chance. Della learns some startling info about her past which changes the direction for a more promising future. I feel that she shows a lot more growth in this book. As far as my feelings for Woods. ..well, lets just say I thought I liked him before, I was wrong. I absolutely adore him even more now. Overall, I really liked Simple Perfection. Woods and Della's relationship is special & very very SMEXY!! This couple has had to overcome some pretty difficult issues. But, they do and they do it together. In fact, their love for each other is the only thing that is simple in this book. I've enjoyed these characters and look forward to continuing with the next book in the series. On a side note, it would been more helpful if Audible would have made the rest of the books in the Fallen too Far series available first since Blair & Rush play a significant role in this series. Its frustrating learning bits & pieces about them in this book. Regardless, its not the end of the world. I just think it would have helped listeners connect better with the secondary characters in these books.

PERFECTION, OH YES, IT IS.

If you could sum up Simple Perfection in three words, what would they be?

unconditional love, misunderstandings, and heartbreak

What other book might you compare Simple Perfection to and why?

at the moment, still thinking about this read, I cannot think of anything I have read that brought my heart "OH No" tears and "Thank God" sighs as this did. It's all in this book for Woods, Della and friends.

What about Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York ’s performance did you like?

They fit Woods and Della so well. It's as if they understood how they felt and portrayed it all on Audio for us. I could hear the joy, sadness, fear, and so much concern for everyone, Emotions run so deep this TRIP around. You stay focused and you WILL want to climb in this book and help them so much. It's a love story that could stand alone if you didn't read the first book. I loved this Abbi Glines!. It's so good. All in!!!!

If you could take any character from Simple Perfection out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Trip and Brayden. My hero's here..

Any additional comments?

Honestly, I read her first book and feel in love, And this the second was a compliment to that. Woods and Della needs understanding of the past and what they are both going through. What happened in this book needed to happen. I didn't think that when it come to be as I was reading, but afterwards it had to in order to understand the past and come to terms with the future.. I pray this series is not over, and want of this couple that have NOW have open eyes and a clear understanding of each other past's and hearts and what has keep them from being complete for one another in more than just being in love. They were badly hurt but unjustly so parents, but there is "snap to moments", ( actually several) that surprise you and they needed to be mended.. Great, great romance hot love scenes, totally raw honesty from so many directions that now you know more of each other's battle better and how they set out to conquer and pull together. With the help of dear, dear friends. Some new and from the past. These friendships that are on top of what each other needs are and help them bring them back from the brink of complete and utter sadness and for Della her darkness.. It also will want you to bring out the gloves for those who have always been trouble makers. Woods and Della are merely surviving, holding on, thinking they can make it like this. until she makes a major decision thinking it's best for Woods. She once again, didn't understand, only wanting what she thinks is best. She is such an unselfish person and the love being so deep for him, she will give up her happiness for a brief moment in time to show him that her love is so great for him But Wood's is no idiot. He will sit back and watch everything concerning his Della. Letting her be he own person and making herself whole. But after listening to this book, I understand why she had to do what she did. Woods also had chapter's in his life to end and start. He needed Della to continue with her searching but as she did, he did the same with his past, remembering his grandfather's visions for the family dynasty. Wood will come to terms with all that has been a thorn in his side. His closure from a few things in his life as well set's him free to be a MAN of his word to all that know him and love him. Things he did out of respect for his father and mother are no longer a duty, He makes them understand it's an honor for them as his son. His time has come. His father had just died, And Mother, well, Mother is another story as you will hear in this.. Becoming that strong Man, business or otherwise changes him toward those who control him once.. a new Woods is about to unleash.... A strong man that don't withhold anything emotionally and verbally. He don't take advice from anyone that has been in his way before, NOW, he give the advice. I as a reader and listener was so proud of him. Nothing, I mean nothing would stand in his way. In this book he completely understands what his father never told everything,. Yes Woods will change, but looking through his beloved grandfather's eyes.. Someone Woods admired and is a lot like. While wheels are in motions Changes start coming from every direction. They were upsetting to me. From the readers aspect, I thought why Woods' and Della do this.. but looking back, it had to come full circle in order to move forward. It had to. His father almost destroyed his life in book one..Hence that marriage Woods never wanted. Clarity for Wood is ":All in" that will make total seance during the listen. And Della is his. Make no mistake. Change is good here.. But FATE changes things again and has a have a way of taking control and becoming out of control. In this you will need tissues. It does become so emotional and what is looming, is the start of what I see in a future book. Your last hour of this listen is hard, but important. TRIP time is on the way... It's what I hope the beginning and a means to and end. This is a great book. I am totally into strong Alpha men, Hot love scenes, Women that knows what they want an these men fall so deeply for them cause of how strong they are. But it's getting harder to find a good book I like. I think I have read over 75 of them now since I changed my reading genre' from what I used to read. I enjoy this new path and wish Audible would follow some other book clubs that have such a larger selection. And I do wish some of us could email each other to help guide us into that book we love. I wish you all happy listening and I do think you will enjoy this.. Off to find another HOT book... Abbi's books, most are young love to me. I like mature reading, I love dual narrations, it adds so much to the listen. like this one did. And for the record, there are two male voices, that make me melt, This man Sebastian York, is one of them.. WOW oh Wow... And if your are like me... Yes the sex is amazing due to his deep voice it's intoxicating. Very HOT, it's not for young teenagers and I would say it's even mature reading in some parts, which I love. , it's got adult language....that was yummy.. Happy Listening.

Simple Perfection

Della Sloane & Woods Kerrington

I admit it… I bawled like a damn baby!! I forgot what happens in this book. I knew it was coming I just didn’t KNOW it was this book.

Wow, I loved this book.. Its HELLA HOT! Sad, amazing, heart wrenching, and painfully. But soooo worth reading.

Della really goes through true personal growth in this book, you can’t help but see and want to fight with her.
You might not agree with some of her choices but in the end you are right there with her cheering her on.

Woods oh to watch him struggle it’s hard sure; but in the end so worth everything he went through. When I first meet Woods in Blaire’s books I wasn’t a fan, but after these 2 books I am a huge WOODS fan! He is so Alpha, Strong willed, Strong minded, all rolled in to one incredible man.

What a shocking great addition to the Rosemary Beach Books. On to Grant I can’t wait he has a corner of my heart I will never give away.

Loved it

I couldn't wait to get to Woods' story and Abbi Glines did not disappoint. Woods always seemed mature, confident and sexy as hell. This story took me on a roller coaster of emotions. It was one that I had to listen to all in one setting.

I love a book that can make you smile, frown, feel angst, laugh out loud and then cry. This story covers it all and I more than enjoyed every minute of it.

Elizabeth Louise did a fabulous job, very smooth voice and all the right inflections, really fantastic work and pure pleasure to listen to. Sebastian York is indeed my favorite. His voice is so sexy, male, deep and perfect. I search for books that he is reading and so far have loved everything he has done. Jeez, the man even does a great job when reading the part of a female, it comes out as a sexy whisper, which enhances the story even more. Sebastian York could read me the dictionary and have my complete attention, he's just that good!

Simply put, the series and getting updated on the characters from prior books, the story of Woods and Della and the two narrators made this one of my very favorites. Abbi Glines rocks! I will be listening to this book several more times. It's just that good.

One of my favorite audiobooks!

What did you love best about Simple Perfection?

The book in general is amazing. The storyline is very emotional and draws you in pretty quickly with the well-developed characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Della. She amazed me with what all she's had to endure but yet she still fights for herself.

What does Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

EVERYTHING! These two work great together! I'm especially obsessed with Sebastian York's narration. I've actually bought books just because he has narrated them. Elizabeth Louise did a great job with her accent. It was believable.

If you could take any character from Simple Perfection out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Do I have to choose just one? I would have to choose Grant. Yes, I know this isn't his book but I've slowly come to love his character.
