Publisher's summary

When darkness descends, devouring all light and life from the world, what hope is left?

The scales have been tipped, someone else’s blood has been used to rise Ares, and the war between The Gifted has arrived. Now, there are Fae hunting Evangeline. Their only goal is to sacrifice her to their one true leader.

Forced to flee the academy, she must embark on a hunt of her own to acquire a scythe. A long lost weapon that will not only strengthen her powers, but is the only hope she has in defeating Ares. However, she is not the only one searching for it.

She must learn to combine and control the darkness and light within her. If she doesn’t, she risks being consumed by the very darkness she was born with. Putting not only her own life at risk, but also those of the ones she loves.

The apocalypse is spreading, with the presence of evil growing stronger with it.

This book is another winner from both the author and the narrator. This series is a must get.I would buy this series if I hadn't gotten a review copy. I will definitely be listening/reading it again.

great ending to the story

I have to admit, this was a great ending to the story. At first I was skeptical with the first one, but I was happy to have been proven wrong. Great job to both the author, and the narrator!

A great series

I enjoyed this story The darkness was spreading in the return of Ares. Evangeline & her friends had to stop him. All everyone kept saying was that Evageline was the only one who could stop him but she didn't know how she was suppose to do it. Her group was sent to search for a magical item that would aid them They encountered many dangerous enemies along the way & their friendships were tested. The author did a great job with the characters and the plot. A must read series.

Interesting conclusion

I’m not sure what happened tbh I’ve missed a few things 🙈 I’ve got a few questions but I don’t want to pop spoilers here so I’ll do that on good reads.

3 star listen

Baskerville Book Reviews

Picking right up where part 2 left off, this book doesn’t let up. It’s full of exciting combat, betrayal, fights for survival and, uncertain odds. This book had me eagerly anticipating what was going to happen next.

I normally don’t talk about the endings. Maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention or maybe I missed something. But the ending made sense to me, until the prologue where it left me confused. I’m not going to dwell on it because I enjoyed the series and story overall.

The narrator was excellent overall. This has been one of the few Audible books I’ve listened to that didn’t have a single audio hiccup.

I think this series could have been condensed down to a single book or two. The aspect of the story that benefitted most from this was the character development which is admittedly not my strong suit. After listening to these books over the course of four days, I know one character’s name. I tend to remember people (and characters) based on their actions and what they represent more than who they are as a person or their name, face, or voice.

As with the first two, I recommend this book. I think it makes for an excellent finale.

The War of Good vs Evil

Siren Rises is a phenomenal written book that kept me on the edge of my seat. The storyline flows easily from book one to book three. The story is engrossing and fast paced and very detailed oriented. I enjoyed the fantastic narration of Michelle Shure as she brings the characters and story to life in my minds eye. I highly recommend this series if you love scifi fantasy books. This series is a creative DO NOT MISS. This is my honest unbiased review of Siren Rises.

A phenomenal series end

Do not miss this fresh and totally engaging series by Jade Francis if you like supernatural adventures with heart and soul and mysterious and unexpected twists. There is something so unique about the writing in this series that I haven't yet completely put my finger on but it left me breathless and impressed and satisfied.

I was on the edge of my seat every page from book one to book three. The plot and relationships are totally engrossing and the pace set by Michelle Shure's phenomenal and consistent narration never lags. The vivid descriptions of both events and character interactions are seamless and emotional. While the plot has the serious theme of saving the world it remain a light and inspiring read. Perhaps we can all do without a high level a traumatic interchanges given recent global experiences. Points were made and battles described clearly but without weighing down the listener with unnecessary blood, gore, suffering or vicarious trauma. Difficult events are described clearly but moved through quickly. I did not feel the need to skip through violence on any occasion opening up the series beyond YA to the younger set but also for older readers who thrive on a little light and heart.

On reflection, the only tiny negative for me was the central romantic relationship. I did not warm to Evangeline's chosen mate at all and perhaps a different voice may have helped. But this is a very small issue. A talented author is able to create satisfying characters we 'love to hate' and this series has many of them. I have been itching for a fan page to discuss the characters. This is a rare experience for me with an audiobook. Bravo.

Best of the series

I definitely thought this book was the best of the series. I felt like the author finally kind of settled into the world and settled into the story. My only complaint is at the final battle felt a little anticlimactic but it may have just been because I was doing an audiobook of it rather than reading a physical copy.
overall I enjoyed the series and would definitely recommend it to somebody who likes urban fantasy and shifter stories.

Another great book book to end this Trilogy!

I didn’t go into this series expecting much, but I was very pleasantly surprised. This was a great, action packed, having you on the edge of your seat, thrill ride. I enjoyed that this book had just the right amount of love, that made it so it wasn’t cheesy. I enjoyed each character & how the author portrayed them. I kind of felt like there was a deja vu moment (it was like reading the love story between Edward, Bella and Jacob for a little while).
I really enjoyed the new
