Publisher's summary

Paige Carmichael has one simple rule: don't rock the boat. She lives a quiet life in the suburbs with an adequate boyfriend and a job that pays the rent, all the while trying to hide the fact that she's the daughter of a world-renowned paranormal investigator. Her happy bubble bursts when the father she's tried so hard to forget appears at her door with an ominous message-vampires are real.

Paige's safe little life doesn't have secretive strangers that hide from the sun, arcane laws, or mysterious covens that stretch back for eons, but change as sure as the cycle of the moon is headed her way. Unfortunately for Paige, it's a dog-eat-dog world, and if she doesn't learn to adapt and discover her own inner strength, she might just find herself at the bottom of the food chain-quite literally.

what a tail!

R. E. Carr wtites another fun read with more twits than an old werewolfs tail that beds down in a rocking chair factory.

This book follows a different femme fatal, it fills out the world and leaves you wanting more .

I will say the performance is highly improved over the last book. Gone are the pauses that bothered me. Kept are the wounderful and imaginative voices for the characters.

All and all a wounder story!

R. E. Carr & Alejandra Reynoso have done it again, Amazing

This is the 2nd book of the series and it was at the same level if not better than the 1st book ‘Four’ the story starts a little slow but that is expected to introduce new characters & environment but after that the story picks up. You are taken on a wildly detailed roller coaster. The writing is very witty, humorous, current, and fun. Alejandra’s voices are so amazing, you feel that every character has their own personalities. The southern accents were great & had me rolling lol. There were also some naughty scenes that get hot lol. Super fun story I can’t wait for the next one. If you like vampires & werewolves this is definitely the story for you. Great work you two.

Fun continuation

This book was a great continuation of the story set up in Four. I love the characters and the world. The author sucks you into them and leads you on a merry chase until the end.

The narration issues that bothered many were definitely fixed with this book. pacing and voices were nice.

A great sequel complete with a heavy dose of HVS

- Josh here

WOW, what did I just listen to?!?!? I honestly don't know what to think after completing this fantastic story, complete with HVS.

It feels as though Mrs. Carr grabbed me by the ankles and dragged me further into this world of vampires and werewolves. Each character has a unique tale to tell which intrigues, enthralls, and captivates. I loved the tie-in to the first book and can't wait to see how this ever-deepening universe continues to expand. The characters are well-developed, well-written, believable, and quite enjoyable.

The narration is 200% improved over the first entry in the series. Alejandra did a wonderful job and I think she really nailed the voice of each character in a way that allowed me to easily picture them. I loved Paige's southern accent and Kyle always brought a smile to my face whenever he appeared in a scene.

unexpected and fun

I thought hallucinogenic vampire s*e*m*e*n was awesome and unmatachable but mint a*n*a*l wash was right up there. I found it confusing at first but by the end of 6 it all tied back to 4.
