It's time to pray. Repeat after me. Lord Almighty, have mercy on me. Free me from my sins.

Freedom. That's the first lie I swallowed.

Haunted by ghosts and the secrets they carry, I'm being eaten alive by guilt. Pastor Michaels' reign of terror will continue until I surrender myself to him.

We're fighting an invisible enemy that speaks the language of violence. Allies have become enemies, and new faces are threatening to derail my life. Someone's keeping secrets. My control is fraying.

With Sabre Security under fire, I have to find the truth before it's too late. If not for my sake, then for the men that stole my heart and refuse to give it back.

They say that family is forever. Ours is about to be put to the test.

Skeletal Hearts is a slow-burn, dark reverse harem romance set in the J Rose shared universe. This series must be listened to in order.

This is the second installment of the series and definitely not a stand alone. Corpse Roads needs to be listened to before you venture into Skeletal Hearts. If you like dark suspense, this series is for you. It has some parts that may trigger some, but overall a really good storyline.

Dark, but good

Absolutely amazing start to this suspense reverse harem romance! I absolutely love J Rose’s character development and world building in anything she does and again, she does not disappoint with Sabre Security. I’ve read the Blackwood Institute world completely out of order so it’s been exciting to finally get to meet Harlow and her guys. Harlow has been through the unimaginable with a religious fanatic that she escaped from after years of captivity and abuse. The way J Rose writes her healing journey is phenomenal. All of the guys involvement in her case as the owners of Sabre Security add to her growth and blossoming into her true self. Twist, turns, and steamy and tense romance make the story even better. I actually did this one as an audiobook and the FMC narrator completely brings Harlow’s emotions to life!

Amazing RH suspense story

Love this series. I'm waiting for book 3.

I really enjoyed this story—especially the end. It was action packed! The narration was done well too. I sometimes have a hard time with dual narration in a reverse harem story, and did occasionally struggle to keep the male characters straight, but other than that, it worked well for me.

Great second installment!

Am I the only person that finds this main character absolutely, positively annoying and unbearable to listen to? The pure idiotic cluelessness of the character ruins the book. I could handle a love triangle, but this? This is ridiculous. The pure obsession of the men takes away from the storyline of the book, they sound like morons. The crime portion of the book is spectacular and keeps you guessing. I found myself literally skipping monologues just to avoid the dragging on and on about the control and obsession of the men. It’s nail to the chalkboard annoying. The main character, she’s painful.
