The narrator is unbelievably talented and has done a beautiful job with this story!

This is an eerie, beautifully written short. Phil and Carol get into a wreck and a strange creature wreaks havoc. This story is full of twists, and woven in flashbacks, and an incredible, heart-wrenching twist!

Wow!

For a short read, this story packed a punch. You have blood, sex, gore, and comedy all in one. I enjoy picturing books in my head as I read/listen. I could only picture George Jetson's maid as the love toy. Don't know why but because of this, it made the story better in my head.

Short and Fun

“She wanted to scream, to cry for help, to shoo them away, but her fear kept her frozen.”

I’ve read this story before but when Jason told me that Carietta narrated the audiobook and offered me a code, I jumped on that asap. I’m not typically an audiobook person, but I’ve heard Carietta do different voices etc, and knew she would be perfect for this story. And I was right.

The story on its own is a great one. I’m a huge fan of anything Jason writes. And I’ve been loving the short stories to sprinkle in here and there in between novels. But the audiobook REALLY made this story come alive in the best way possible!!

Not only am I excited to see what else Jason has in store for us on the writing front, I’m equally excited to see Carietta narrating books because she nailed it. She really freaking did.

Like I said, I’m not typically an audible gal… but this one was fantastic and I highly recommend!!

Fantastic story. Fantastic narration.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Carietta truly brought this story to life. This was short and wonderfully written. The transitions from present to past was done very well. This story follows a husband and wife who get into a wreck and there’s a strange creature lurking around. Filled with twists and turns this was a hauntingly good read!

Hauntingly good!!

I really enjoyed this quick tale of crunchy grief-horror, written by Jason Nickey and narrated by Carietta Dorsch. Her voicework has an ASMR quality to it, and coupled with Jason's awesome writing style, we have an outstanding presentation overall, and I certainly hope to read and hear more, much more.

A wonderful Tidbit of Terror!

I listened to the audiobook version. Its a very quick story, and starts out present day with a husband and wife who's kids are grown and out of the house, but flashes between the present and the past to when the kids are younger and still at home. The story had a surprise ending that broke my heart.

The calm, clear, and solemn reading of this tale added to the escalating anxiety. The vivid descriptions, relatable protagonist, and unimaginable twist set the scene of a terrifying tale that leaves you feeling it may have actually occurred. Very well done.

Intense & Gripping
