About this listen
Are you ready to be human?
Human. God. Two words that jar against each other and yet describe Jesus perfectly. Jesus was fully human and fully divine, which is extraordinary. But he was also ordinary in the most counterintuitive way: His life shows us what normal humanity is supposed to look like. Jesus came to earth to redeem humanity itself, and through him that redeemed humanity is available to us all.
In Sneezing Jesus, Brian Hardin journeys through vivid Gospel stories, pointing to a revolutionary truth: If Jesus was a normal human living a normal human life, then his death and resurrection didn't just save our souls - they save our humanity here and now.

In our shallow, self-centered age, things like truth and reverence might seem outdated, lost. Yet we’re restless. Drew Dyck makes a compelling case that what we seek awaits us in the untamed God of Scripture - a God who is dangerous yet accessible, mysterious yet powerfully present.

What is it that you long for? Dream about? Hunger after? We all desire more than just the endurance of our daily routines. But often we feel limited and stuck - like we're merely existing instead of living. That's not the way it was meant to be. God intends the humanity in each of us to be deeply experienced, lavishly enjoyed, and exuberantly celebrated. In fact this is what the Gospel is all about. Yes, the Gospel.

Story
Did Jesus have bad habits? In our culture we have a tendency to describe Jesus in ways that soften his revolutionary edge. Len Sweet uncovers and presents to us the offensive and scandalous Jesus described in the Bible. Did he disappear when people needed him most? Yes. Did he refuse to answer questions directly? Yes. Did Jesus offend the people of his day? Absolutely yes. Popular author and speaker Len Sweet examines the words and actions of Jesus and places them in context.

Story
Why does the Bible contain so many stories of hurting people? Though their situations vary, their conditions don't. They have nowhere to turn. Yet before their eyes stands a never-say-die Galilean who majors in stepping in when everyone else steps out. Lucado reminds us that the purpose of these portraits isn't to tell us what Jesus did-but rather to remind us what Jesus still does.

For many people worry, anxiety, and fear are constant companions: fear of death, fear of danger, fear of disease. And too often these fears are crippling, keeping us from the lives God has called us to live. But it doesn't have to be that way, says Dr. David Jeremiah. As Christians we have been given all we need in order to face down even the most frightening, unexpected, and overwhelming obstacles in life.

Our world is chaotic and often feels dark and devoid of hope. And it’s not just the headlines we see every day. Our relationships are broken. A loved one’s health is failing. We’re disoriented and restless and wrestling with fear. These things are the reality of living in a fallen world. But our God is over that world. He is present in the midst of the daily ache of life. He loves us in the midst of that ache. In a series of 11 letters, Rebecca Reynolds writes to the lonely, the weary, the restless, and afraid and provides perspective and hope to find where God is in the midst of it.

Story
Best-selling author John Ortberg dispels the myth that eternal life is something way out in outer space that we can only hope to experience after we die - and that being saved is merely about meeting the minimal entrance requirements for getting into heaven. Instead, John unpacks the reality that the moment we trust Christ, we are initiated into “eternal living” with God as a here and now reality, one that will continue beyond our life on this earth.

Another Hit!
Brian Hardin speaks from the heart and is able to put into words what many of us think or feel, but don't understand what it is we hope. In this book he continues his message, clarifying that to become Christ-like, we must sneeze the gospel (good news) into the world in our everyday normal lives. Jesus bless you!

Wow!!
Loved this. I am not someone who has read the Bible before. Sure, I have read many, many passages and chapters, but never in its entirety. The author really helped me to understand Jesus more and to connect more with him. I just loved it!

Well read and very sincere!
As a Daily Audio Bible listener now in my 2nd year, I decided to listen to Brian Hardin’s, “ Sneezing Jesus “ book. Brian brings Jesus into light as a human, a baby born to a virgin, crying, suckling from his mother, sneezing, laughing, playing as we all do growing up. It’s how God could have chosen to send Jesus to earth in a royal family but instead sent him to a poor, humble family instead. It makes Jesus “normal.”
I would much rather listen to Brian read this than to read this book myself to get the inflections he meant and that’s why I chose the audio version. I love listening to Brian everyday anyway. Chapter 10 was my favorite chapter of this entire book.
