 Lance Major thrives in the great outdoors, always chasing that next exhilarating rush. The thought of settling down is as distant as the snow-covered peaks of Snowdrift Summit until Sarah Hart, his best friend’s sister, returns to town after a recent divorce.

Suddenly, he finds himself in the hushed aisles of the library where she works, spending more time between the pages of a book than carving up the snowy slopes. Sarah has taken notice of Lance, too. In truth, she’s always been inexplicably drawn to Lance’s carefree spirit. Stolen moments between the stacks quickly evolve into hot chocolate sunrises and late-night book clubs.

When the opportunity to organize a reading retreat at the local Snowdrift Inn arises, Sarah seizes it with the same spontaneity she’s learned from Lance. Gathering fellow literature enthusiasts becomes her passion project, but Lance’s winter sports business feels the repercussions. The Inn’s rooms, traditionally reserved for his adventurous clients, are now occupied by authors seeking peace and quiet.

And when a renowned travel writer attends the retreat and offers Lance a chance to embark on a globe-trotting expedition that would take him far from Snowdrift, he must choose between following his heart or pursuing the thrill of the unknown.

Can Sarah and Lance strike a balance that allows their passions to coexist, or will the clash between the love of literature and the allure of adventure ultimately drive them apart?
