Fantastic finish!

This has been one hell of a ride! Fantastic author with rich storytelling. I find myself narrating my life in “Sam Deveraux” voice sometimes.

A fitting ending

Short of giving spoilers I'll just say one of the most fulfilling book series I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Will Jordon is a national treasure.

Characters great

I loved the unlikely team and all the missions. There are many twists that unravel. The characters are so well developed and rooting for the good guy you begin to think... this is the good guy right? I can't spoil any of this.
The worst part,it's over.
Narrative is 5* Story and writing 5*

A Must Read

A roller coaster of a story, with story arcs that range from Redemptive and Triumphant, to heart wrenching, to seeing the downfall of those who the audience wants to see fall. An excellent conclusion to an excellent series.

Great end to a great journey

Perfect ending to a great series. Excellently written by Will Jordan and great narration by Sam Deveraux, as usual.

Unsatisfactory Finale

This review pains me to write. I’ve been following Ryan Drake for three years. He’s grown as a character with me.
I had big expectations for this book, maybe too big. I liked Anya’s last stand. That was excellently written. I am however disappointed that no major characters died save MK(she was pretty much dead already). If she and Ryan had actually reconciled only for her to die that i would understand and I would’ve cried.
I get it Mr Jordan you are not GRRM bit of no major characters seem to be able to die then it cheapens their life. I fully expected Ryan or Anya or both to die. I have years invested in them and I would’ve cried . However everything was too neatly tied up at the end. This felt inauthentic. Life is hardly ever this way.
Mr Jordan i wholly support you and your work. I look forward to your next work with relish

deus ex machina (kind of)

So this book wasted little time with unrealistic contrivances. Like a deus ex machina, only not used to save a character but trip one up.

I can't listen to anymore of this book, because it feels like a comic book or some modern movie written by a hack. it saddens me, because I was a fan of this series. The story is likely a good one, but the telling of it bad. If you're going to put a character in jeopardy, at least make it happen in a believable way.

Making characters "appear" where needed with no rhyme nor reason for them being at THAT particular random spot with a plan and ability to set up a "trap" in only a few minutes. This has happened in 2 books now in such a jarring way that I'm no longer immersed in the story.

I'm not finishing this book and I'm done with the series. writing Ryan Drake off as a lost cause now.
