About this listen

A failed rebellion leaves a nation in chaos.
The aftermath is devastation.
No one is coming to save them.

Everything has changed.
Friends have turned against each other.
Foes have become allies.
And it seems as though everyone has an agenda.
The dark secrets and pasts will unravel everything they’ve ever perceived as truth.

When nothing is as it seems, who will you trust?
Choose wisely because everyone is someone else’s villain.

I couldn’t stop listening

This book is so well written, The characters layers and layers of depth and it makes you forget that you are listening to a book. The narrators are exceptional.
Bravo JB! Can’t wait for the third installment.

a Rollercoaster i need

I am madly in love with this series. book 1 was aging but book 2 gave so much more depth to the characters.
in this one you find out about the gods and others true character leaving you constantly on your toes of who to trust and where they will finals their alliances lay.
as always the elite Dalia did a phenomenal job with the narration and the addition of Sean leveled up the audio.
I always felt engaged with the characters and never left guessing who was speaking. 10/10 love the astpria series and I can't wait foe book 3 because these do leave off on a cliffy and as always the spice is spicin

everyone is someone else’s villain

“If you do end up burning, I will happily burn with you. When we are nothing more than ashes in the wind, we can return to the stars together. Forever together.”

“You may think of me as your villain, but surely, you must know everyone is someone else’s villain. Even you.”

I was pleasantly surprised on how I truly loved this book. I enjoyed the multiple POVs to see what the other characters where going through. I listened to the audiobook as I was reading and the narrators did an amazing job for me to immerse myself within the story. There are two narrators this time, it made the story flow even better. Their change in voices for different characters was superb. This book did end in cliffhanger of sorts. Anxiously waiting on book 3.

The Sequel Is Where It’s At

While the first book left somethings to be desired, I can understand utilizing it for the world and character building. The second book did not disappoint! I cannot wait to see how these characters develop through book three!
