Publisher's summary

The cries of the dead are deafening

Women are being taken in Virginia, and FBI agent Mark Gallagher is determined to put a stop to it. Certain he’s closing in on the killer known as The Embracer, Mark is less than thrilled when he’s partnered with rookie agent Colleen Law, worried she’s a liability when there’s so much at stake.

But like everyone in the Krewe of Hunters, Colleen has talents that extend beyond the usual investigative toolbox. She can hear the voices of the victims in her head, and they’re telling her she and Mark are near to uncovering the truth.

When Mark’s prime suspect takes a liking to Colleen, he’s surprisingly protective of his new partner, even as he admits her connection to the victims is key. But tense interrogations turn dangerously personal when someone close to Colleen goes missing, luring the agents deep into the shadows of wooded rural Virginia, where nobody can hear them scream.

“A high-octane page turner that’s two parts thrills, one part cautionary tale, and an absolute blast to read.” —Providence Journal on Danger in Numbers

Awesome

Story was so worth the listen. Plot was moving at a great pause. Narrator was excellent!

Krewe is my favorite of Heather Graham’s

Good story. Similar scenarios as most authors use - boy and girl are annoyed with each other but eventually find their redeeming qualities and hook up.
There are some good twists - glad I wasn’t totally off as the end revealed the final truth.

I usually like this narrator, but this time he was more choppy in his delivery and there were times I lost who was actually speaking as the male and female characters started to sound much alike.

I love this series, and am glad I can fast forward through the sex scenes (doesn’t feel necessary to the story line - just there in too much explicit detail)
I will still continue to read this series and I look forward to the next book.

Boring

I kept hoping it would get better, it didn’t, at least not for me. Thought it would never end.

It was ok with some nonsense here and there.

The killers were known halfway through, and the big reveal was more or less get on with it. Heather did the usual crap with a dead cell phone, not trusting her partners she's my sister crap. The sister with her kidnapping was so damn stupid. The killer, as mentioned, probably could have gotten off with rough sex argument until he kidnapped Agent Law sister. Lastly, red heads stick out, even from a distance, so I'm confused about how a guy who met Agent Law in person couldn't tell the person he kidnapped wasn't the right person? Was the last 30 minutes of this book needed as well? Not Heather's best work, but it was good enough to finish. 2.75 rounded up to a 3 in my opinion.

Terrible

The story cut out after 10 minutes and would just stop. I would hit the arrow again and it would replay the same thing before stopping again. Waste of my money
