Jack Spirelli has embraced the other and opened SPI. The adventures and new (and old if you read Kate often) characters introduced in this series all come together so well with the sense of twisty humor that we all love from Kate. A great read for readers who enjoy paranormal and/or mystery. Some language may make it unsuitable for some young readers.

Great series, starting with Jack and Merin's first meeting and watching their relationship develop as they..and we/... get to know each other, and then joining them on their investigations.

I read this series the first time around so I wasn't sure of the narrator, because that wasn't the way I heard the voice in my head...BUT, after about 15 mins of listening, he seemed perfect.

This is a really good series with likable characters and interesting stories that are their well developed case files that you'll definitely want more of.

Highly recommend it.

This would have been a pretty good book with a better narrator. His inflections were terrible, and made the story intensely boring. I had to struggle to finish.

I would recommend to my friends who love the paranormal.

The friendship between Jack and Maren.

I liked the male voice because the main character is Jack. Hard for me to tell the difference between the characters speaking.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, because this was a different type book than I am use to listening too so I had to think about what I heard.

I had to fast toward and up the speed to get through thie menusha of dull details and the narrators flat and slow voice. I made it to the end after sevaral breaks...funny for such a short book. And will avoid this narrator and author in future.
