About this listen

Start as a RECRUIT...become a SUPER-SOLDIER...end up a GALACTIC WARLORD.

Don your armor, load up on ammo, and get ready for your combat training. You don't become a badass by signing on the dotted line, you gotta earn it the hard way...same goes for your team. You have to learn to fight, how to work together, and how to lose...for the ancient origins of humanity on Earth are dark, devastating, and destined to return. Earth is going to lose, and lose badly when our time is up, but out of the ashes of defeat, we may be able to scrounge up a future if you and the other future warlords can learn how to overcome the losses and turn them to our advantage.

And the one advantage we have is the repository of ancient knowledge left behind when our former masters abandoned Earth during a civil war. They assume everyone died, but a few human slaves remained and now we live only because of that mistake.

But they didn't just make one. Their second was leaving the most heavily defended and valuable building on the planet intact because destroying it along with the others when they bugged out would be too time-consuming. Instead, they buried it and now we have limited access to the advanced technology and database inside. From it we know the truth about our ancestry, as well as the superhuman powers they laced into our genome...and because of those powers, any human not under their direct control carries with them an automatic death sentence.

So when we're found out, we're all going to die...unless you and your team can grow into the war leaders we need, figure out how to use the ancient technology as well as those who created it, and find a way to do the impossible and overcome a galactic empire millions of years old. An empire known as the V'kit'no'sat, which Earth hilariously misinterpreted as a group of extinct animals called the Dinosaurs.

Wow. Can she pronounce ANYTHING?

Love this series. Hate this particular reader. She mispronounces so many words I don’t know where to begin. I find it to ba a huge distraction from the story. Jiminy Cricket buy a dictionary.

Great Story and Narrator Gives Me Hope...

...that anyone could be a Star Force narrator as long as they can read at a 2nd grade-level. She’s not as bad as Joelle Green-Forbes’ narration of the first set (don’t waste your money, seriously). By not as bad I mean that this narrator is at least trying not to suck as much as the horse-eating bog in the ‘Never Ending Story’ but unfortunately...she fails.

Narrator

I like this series, but won't continue series if this narrator is utilized. I have never heard so many words mispronounced. One or two, you ignore, but this was time after time from 21 through 24. Pleasant voice but the mispronunciations really got old.

Strafing, long A.

Would someone please tell the narrator that the word is strafing, long A, not straaaffing. Annoying.

The story is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

What would have made Star Force: Origin Series Box Set, Books 21-24 better?

A different reader would have made this better. Amanda Hendricks seems to be doing the reading in a way that the Amazon Kindle Text to speech reader sounds better! I had to speed up portions of the book set to be able to not fall asleep! Faster tempo, more "life" to the reading would have improved this beyond imagining.

Would you be willing to try another one of Amanda Hendricks’s performances?

Maybe a different genre would be a better performance, so I'll give her another shot, just not the Star Force Origin series.

Worst Narrator Ever!!!

I really like the story, but the fact that the narrators keep changing ruins it. This one reads like a robot, and kept mispronouncing simple words, like straffing. She also jumbled up words. No tempo, or emotion. I really don’t like to leave negative reviews,... this one was well earned. I can imagine how much better the story could be with someone like RC Bray.

ANOTHER WASTE OF $$$ & TIME

This narrator sounds like she has a clothes pin clamped on her nose. As well she is almost monotone. She also needs to go back through highschool. The word is not straffing. It is strafing, pronounced strafe-ing. It's an attack run by low flying aircraft. She sounds like an uneducated moron. Plus this author just can not write a desent sci-fi story. He has NO clue about military tactics. And he his so biased against formal militaries and how they operate. He thinks he knows what drives the individual warrior while in battle but really he just makes a fool of himself. If he was in my fireteam in Iraq, I would throw him on an enemy grenade before he got real warriors killed. Send home to momma in a box and a medal.
