About this listen

The New York Times best-selling series is coming to an epic conclusion—witness the beginning of the end!

Written by one of the original High Republic story architects and the #1 New York Times best-selling author of Star Wars: The High Republic: Into the Dark, Star Wars: Lost Stars, and the upcoming original X-Files novel, Perihelion. This sci-fi mystery is, at its heart, about the importance of found families and overcoming great odds.

As several crises all hurtle toward their thrilling and shocking conclusions, fan-favorite Jedi Knights and Padawans must band together to save the galaxy from the Nihil, the Nameless, and perhaps worst of all, a mysterious blight that turns everything in its path to dust and is seemingly impossible to stop.

Excellent book!

Claudia Gray delivers another great one. This was a very satisfying book end to Into the Dark and Fall of Starlight Beaken. Great character driven story with all the light vs dark that star wars was built on.

Nice end

I think this was nice end to reath and nans story. As well the first major defeat to marcion ro. I also like that we got to visit the Wookiee and has made really invested for the last adult novel.

Great story but…

Want happened to the music and effects that have been on every book prior? The narration was fine and the story was great. Just lacked the background noise or environmental noise. It’s a great book , but good have been 5 stars had their been the normal Star Wars bank tracking.

A thrilling closer to the YA THR storyline

Very good story. Quality narration, but it did get slightly annoying over time that I could hear the narrator taking deep breaths repeatedly after a long sentence.

Where's that music?

Overall, it isn't bad. I would put it in the middle of the stack of this series.

the action in the last 15 to 20 percent of the book was great. everything before that was really slow.

Also, the music, sound effects, and the like were missing.

It’s coming to an end

Not a bad book overall. Just seems like the ending has been drawing out for far too many books. I like the stories and characters, but it better be a great ending.
Right now a turn coat was a sudden and confusing change.
A controlled set of bad guys that was a very convenient way to close that storyline out. Not satisfying, but meh I guess it’s ok.
It was leaps and bounds over that political boring book that was released just before. Goodness what a yawner, this one is paced well and keeps you reading.

Overall good read.
