Super Fun Audiobook! Great Narration!

I loved listening to this fun and educational audiobook! I learned so many fun facts about not only Space and astronomy, but animals, humans, and the world in general. This was a great listen for the whole family with only a few minor sections that were a bit mature for my 9 year old to hear (sex related facts), but had enough warning to have them leave the room or cover their ears. The narration was really great! Easy-to-listen-to voices and easy to follow with great story telling and acting. Seriously, a great listen. Highly recommend!

Scattered pockets of information

I think this book jumps around to much. They spend a bunch of time on silly things and glance over highly complex topics a little too fast for me. It's entertaining enough but wouldn't read if you're looking for real answers to cosmoly questions...

Very entertaining, jam packed with informatio

This is an interesting and fun book. It seems to have been created for a wide audience so It should not go over your head. I do question some of the references used in the book.

A little difficult to follow

I always love Neil and I’m fascinated by what he has to say. The format of this book however probably would have been easier to follow in print form as opposed to audible form. I think I finally settled in and got the hang of it about halfway through. Lots of jumping around. But the content as always is superb.

Nothing new

Nothing new is really discussed in the book. It has a wide range of topics that is interesting however without a good frame work.

Multiple times throughout the audiobook parts of chapters are repeated. Meaning you will listen to a 5 min segment to listen to the same 5 minutes again.

Happened 4-6 times throughout.

And somehow in book about stars and astrophysics there is an entire chapter on gender and transgender.

Quirky and not interesting

Book is presented in a quirky manner - just a long long series of quotes, many silly, from a lot of people, many of whom are not experts. Also information presented is very basic.

Maybe Better as a Physical Book

Just snippets of brain droppings with an unsurprising political bent with inclusions from Bill Nye the Children's Entertainment guy. Knew what I was getting in a sense but had hoped to be surprised.

Don’t Bother

Pompous and grandiose. Repetitive. What a disappointment. I am no longer a Neil deGrasse Tyson fan.

Very political

They spend a lot of time on global warming. What bothers me more is Neil has to give his spin on God and Jesus. If he doesn’t believe in God or Jesus that is fine. Why do people try so hard to change someone else’s belief. You know a lot of people that believe in Jesus do a lot of good. God gives people in bad situations hope. They should talk about stuff that can be proven. I am trying to understand why they so badly want to change peoples view on God. If Neil and Bill Nye would redirect the time they spend trying to convince people there is no God think of the real problems they could solve. I wanted to listen to a book about the cosmos and not ideology.
