Critic reviews

"A romp that lives up to the standard set by Larklight, its wildly imaginative predecessor. Huzzah!" ( Kirkus Reviews)

Such great fun!

All our favorite characters are back with a new, truly sinister, and tricky foe. Narration is very well done with superb differentiation between the voices and accents. Perfectly tied up but with obvious opening for the next adventure. The humor was wonderful and full of Art’s usual great British pride—huzzah! Well worth this relisten and purchase.

Not great quality

The recording is a little tinny or something in this recording, I found it difficult to listen to due to acoustics. I've listened to all his other books with the same narrator with no problem. Perhaps it was the sound quality, but I also found this plot less engaging than the others. Still worth a listen, but not as magical.

Couldn't get into it

Don't buy!!! The narrator is very high pitched. I wanted to listen to the novel - but the high pitched nasal squeal of the narrator meant that I just couldn't get into it. And I've listened to a lot of audiobooks - but really.. the narration for this one is awful.

I don't know how good this novel is (couldn't finish it) - but I know one thing - I'll avoid this particular narrator!!!
