Publisher's summary

The Titanic is meant to be unsinkable, but as it begins its maiden voyage, there’s plenty of danger waiting for four of its young passengers. Paddy is a stowaway, escaping a deadly past. Sophie’s mother is delivered to the ship by police -  after she and Sophie have been arrested. Juliana’s father is an eccentric whose riches can barely hide his madness. And Alfie is hiding a secret that could get him kicked off the ship immediately. The lives of these four passengers will be forever linked with the fate of Titanic. And the farther they get from shore, the more the danger looms....

My 12-year is loving this!

I love that this story is being told from the perspective of young people. It has really captivated my 12-year-old son's interest in a couple of ways - he is enjoying learning the history of this event as well as relating to the young characters. The narrator does a wonderful job distinguishing between the characters. Well done!

Engaging story or should I say half story

Should have been released as one novel not 2 parts. What you get is excellent though but very short. Not sure I'll get the second half. Probably will

Titanic's Maiden Voyage

Enjoyed listening to the 1st part of Unsinkable: Titanic will downloaded 2 and part 3, I saw the movie version for this story my memorable moment is right at the end of part 1 where the Captain of the ship was given a message about icebergs up ahead and he just puts the information into his pocket without reading it. Narration by Michael Page is clear and easy to listen too.

Good short story

Captures your attention, you want to hear what happen, and you think "if only". Worth the $2 that I spent to listen to it.

Overdone Story Line- But Enjoyable

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I have read so many books based on the Titanic. This one has a new story line that is interesting and entertaining. I would probably recommend it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Unsinkable?

I was already interested in the Titanic.

Which scene was your favorite?

He presents his story through the eyes of the protagonist. He gives the feeling of what it was like for the poor at that time.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

nothing

Any additional comments?

I would like to read the continuation of the story. The characters were interesting enough to want to know more of their adventures. What happens to them when the Titanic sinks? Do the main characters survive?

Still Good Even Though You Know The Story

Would you listen to Unsinkable again? Why?

Maybe. My only criticism is that the story is in three separate audio books. My favorite parts were the insights into turn of the century social hierarchy. Enjoyable listening.

Unsinkable:Titanic Book 1

Any additional comments?

There are many stories, myths, fictions, non-fictions, etc., written about the Titanic. This is fiction, young adult, approximately three hours in length. It’s well written, a captivating story. This is a nice selection to inspire a young person in addition to interesting fodder for any reader, the story, to this point, is certainly more plausible than the James Cameron movie. Facts are intermingled with a fictional story, which is character driven, and doesn’t progress through the actual sinking … which we can assume occurs in subsequent books in the series.

Well worth the Audible Daily Deal, not sure about a full credit, though.
