Light-Hearted Wholesome Christian Romance

Any additional comments?

Very clean sweet love story. You can listen to this without your earbuds and not worry about any content you would not want overheard.

The story is about 2 people who star in a T.V. show and fall for each other in real life. Kat and Scott's relationship develops slowly. The story starts out slow then picks up about halfway through.

For me the best character in the book is Kat's grandmother, Lenora Worth and her backstory where Rex is concerned. Although the ending is pretty easy to figure out very early on it was interesting to hear it play out. It does take a while to decide if Lenora is really ill or if she is just crazy like a fox in manipulating situations to get her desired outcome.

Julie Lancelot did a good job with the narration.

Excellent marriage advice

Loved how Rex said that the chase was just the beginning of love. True love is really the whole marriage, not just the kiss, but all the mountains and valleys that follow and how your love grows during it all. Very sound advice to a culture focused on “the kiss” in movies. Where is the happily ever after portrayed in movies or books? Life and love really continue After marriage. That’s the true challenge.

Take it from a woman married at age 43 for the first time, single most of her life, now married almost 4 years and still as much in love as when she got married!!

Thank you, Janice, for your godly advice to us as women.

I loved this story!

Everything about this story was interesting--it was great going "behind the scenes" of a Hollywood studio, and yet following the lives of people who interacted with each other. It was great watching how God worked miracles in each of their lives. As usual, any story Julie Lancelot reads will be more interesting than other stories, because she has such a way of bringing us into the story! She's absolutely amazing changing her voices so that you can easily follow the characters of the story, and yet is able to bring the right amount of emotion into the story.

An Enticing Read!

The narrator is an excellent choice for the book! She made it really easy to follow along with that was happening. The plot had it's ups and downs but kept me wanting to listen even more. I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

A great Christian love story

Which character – as performed by Julie Lancelot – was your favorite?

I love Grandmother Worth, she was the best character throughout the whole book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Grandma's bouts of dimentia

Any additional comments?

I wouldn't mind follow up stories with Rex and Grandma, and maybe the writer that doesn't think there is anyone out there for her. This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBoom

Great Book!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book, this is the first book in the Backstage Pass series written by Janice Thompson and narrated by Julie Lancelot. Kat Jennings and Scott Murphy don't just play two people who are secretly in love on a television sitcom - they are actually head over heels for each other in real life. When the lines between reality and TV land blur, they hope they can keep their relationship under wraps. But when Kat's grandmother, an eccentric star from Hollywood's golden age, mistakes their on-screen wedding proposal for the real deal, things begin to spiral out of control.

The narrator Julie Lancelot did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

Sweet Christian Love Story

This is a fun and enjoyable book! I found myself smiling a lot throughout the story. The characters were well developed and their faith shown through.

This is definitely one of the nicest Hollywood love stories I have ever heard. The two main characters co star on a TV show and fall in love on screen and in real life!!!

There are a few twists and turns. The grandmother was funny and everyone was so patient with her. The whole story was very uplifting. There are Bible verses intertwined throughout the story.

The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life. I always enjoy a HEA ending!

What a great story!

I was skeptical at first, because I have a low regard of Holly-weird!! But I was presently surprised!! It was a great pleasure to hear a Christian based book set in “Sin City”
The characters were mostly well developed. A few not so much, however, this didn’t detract from the story.
I know I’ll listen to this book again.
