About this listen

A second chance to build the family of their dreams...

Dr. Grant Anderson long ago gave up on a relationship with Leo Garner. After all, Leo left him for a movie star, and who can compete with that? But now, Leo’s back with his adorable, genius daughter in tow, leaving Grant consumed by three important questions:

1) Did Leo come home without the movie star because he’s looking for a fresh start?

2) Does he want a do-over with Grant, too?

3) Why else would Leo be hanging around Grant’s hospital so much, anyway?

The attraction between Grant and Leo is undeniable, and soon, their affection reignites, as well. But will their luck hold out through health scares and family drama so they can find their happy ending at last?

This book is a single dad, opposites attract, second chance, hurt/comfort, medical romance by Smoky Mountain Dreams author Leta Blake, featuring over 60,000 words of an emotional, moving m/m romance with a happy ending you’ll love!

Wonderful listen!

I adore the fact that this audiobook deals with a main character with a life threatening illness. The way the author works that into the story line for all involved is awesome. I also live the snarky humor that shows up a lot in this listen!! I believe humor helps everything and this shows that to be true!

You are my most important body part

So I saw some reviews saying this book is a bit similar to one of the other books written by the same author but to be honest I haven’t read a lot of Leta Blake books so I have no idea how similar they are and this review is solely based on my experience of listening this story for the first time.

I loved it! I have always had a soft spot for hot doctors and we get a very grumpy, snarky, cold-on-the-outside and warm-inside surgeon doctor hottie! This is one happy listener. Time-jump abs flashbacks are a little bit confusing regardless, I still enjoyed this book a lot. Win for me in this book are how Grant couldn’t help but smashing his massive walls and emerge himself as a lovesble, caring and kind hubby material. I also liked Leo for adopting his sister’s daughter despite being in dire illness. It was a fluffy, cute and amusing little love story. I also really loved their daughter and how very feisty and full of spirit she is. Frankly speaking, I would have a loved a prequel because this can be sometimes confusing because of constant time jumps. Darcy Stark did a very good performance of bringing all those characters to life.

Wild! Wild, Wild, and Wild!

Grant and Leo's story was different in the most pleasurable way. These two men, along with Lucky their daughter were totally unique characters. And the story was one that isn't easy to forget. Because, it was that good. To have this incredible story by the author being read to me by this incredible narrator was indeed an enjoyable experience. I so highly recommend their story. You will not be disappointed. So kick back and allow the narrator to take you away while reading to you a story that will set your soul in warmth. ENJOY!💖

It really came around

It took me a long time to like Dr grant. He was a jerk. I wondered if I ever would. It came around and went together well. I liked the narration and the story. Leta Blake has a unique way of storytelling and I’m here for it

A Second Chance at Love for Grant and Leo

I’ve read several very good romances in the past couple of weeks. This one passes my own personal measure of a truly excellent book. After finishing this book, I immediately wanted to start it again. ‘Stay Lucky’ works for me in so many ways, I’m not sure I can convey how utterly superb it is.

Grant. Oh, boy, Grant is such a jerk! But I love him anyway. His heart was broken 6 years ago when Leo chose movie star ex-boyfriend Curtis over Grant. He’s more determined than ever not to fall for Leo again.

Leo has returned home after his break-up with Curtis. He has 5-year-old daughter Lucky in tow. There are other reasons for Leo to be back in town, but I will not spoiler them. He’s a hero, and I love him too.

Second-chance (swoon). Single-Dad (oh, my heart). Hurt/comfort (have tissues handy). The book is full of all the feelings. I had tears at times, both sad and happy. The exquisite lovemaking scenes are completely integral to the entire story. Leta Blake has written a book that has rocketed onto my favorites list.

Darcy Stark deserves some love heaped on him as well. Every sarcastic zinger, every passionate whisper, every heartfelt conversation is delivered with absolute perfection. His portrayal of Grant’s POV is beautifully performed.

This audiobook was requested by me, from Gay Romance Reviews, as a free review copy, and I am now providing a voluntary opinion of it.

Highly recommended. 5+ stars.

Grant and Leo

Holy cow did Grant come across as a jerk! Blunt, rude, arrogant, and high-handed are his calling cards. Watching him slowly crumble under Leo's sunny demeanor and Lucky's adoration was satisfying. Leo has a broken body and wounds from his ex but his devotion to his daughter gave him strength and determination that I admired. While he leans on Grant he doesn't depend on him to fight his battles, he's fully capable. I liked that while he drew definite boundaries with his ex he doesn't make him out to be a bad guy with his daughter. Lucky is an essential element in the storyline but she doesn't dominate it or come over as a caricature.

Audiobook: Great narrator
