Publisher's summary
Still, Together takes an active approach to reclaiming true and deep connection in our day-to-day lives. Looking at the feelings associated with disconnection, this guide presents steps through meditation and mindfulness practices to address these feelings.
Still, Together is an exploration of the ways we feel detachment from our lives, goals and friendships and how we can begin to reclaim ourselves through human connection. Technology has enabled us to be more connected than ever before, but in many ways, it has come at the cost of our sense of humanity. The reality is that we live in a world where innovation promises to keep us more up-to-date and connected but leaves us feeling more disconnected than ever before.
Expert teacher Manoj Dias takes us step by step through the core teachings of Buddhist meditation and shows how to apply this ancient wisdom to modern life. He provides the tools to help develop your own practice at home using mindfulness exercises and meditations and shows us why cultivating wisdom is so important.
Manoj Dias will teach you how to apply these learnings to your life, enriching you with a deeper sense of connection to both yourself and the world around you.
Since first being introduced to the magic of meditation decades ago and embarking on his own journey to become a teacher, Manoj Dias has helped thousands of people to embrace stillness of mind and body, enabling them to live fearlessly on the path to a happier and more meaningful life. His teaching and practice is informed by Buddhist philosophy, psychology and social justice principles, with an emphasis on promoting diversity and inclusion in the wellness space. After training under renowned teachers Dr Miles Neale, Channa Dassanayaka and Joe Loizzo, Manoj has based himself between the US and Australia for the past five years.

Story
Yung Pueblo’s path to deep healing began only after years of drug abuse had taken a toll on his mind and body. Searching for a way forward, he found that by honestly examining and addressing the anxieties and fears that he had been running away from, he no longer felt like a stranger inside of his heart and mind. And once he dedicated himself to meditation and trusting his intuition, he started to finally feel mentally lighter, with more love emerging from within. This was not an easy journey, and it's one that he is still on, but it showed him that real healing is possible.

Many famed music producers are known for a particular sound that has its day. Rick Rubin is known for something else: creating a space where artists of all different genres and traditions can home in on who they really are and what they really offer. He has made a practice of helping people transcend their self-imposed expectations in order to reconnect with a state of innocence from which the surprising becomes inevitable. Over the years, he has learned that being an artist isn’t about your specific output, it’s about your relationship to the world.

Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things—a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

Story
In this book, renowned Buddhist teacher Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche leads us through the three steps of his Emotional Rescue Plan. First, Mindful Gap is the practice of creating a safe distance between you and your emotions, which gives you the psychological space to work with their energy. Clear Seeing involves recognizing the bigger picture. Finally, Letting Go is the practice of releasing stressful physical and emotional energy through physical exercise, relaxation, and awareness.

And if you grew up in struggle - overcoming homophobia, sexism, trauma, shame, depression, poverty, toxic masculinity, racism, or social injustice - you need a different type of meditation...one that doesn't pretend the struggle doesn't exist. Now, Justin introduces Freedom Meditation - an approach that addresses disillusionment, social justice, and shame; strengthens intuition; cuts through self-doubt; and empowers you to make better decisions.
