Publisher's summary

Some things are beyond our control.

All my life I was nothing. Average. Forgotten and overlooked. And then a powerful fae claimed me as his mate, changing everything.

But death took him from me. And then an attack in the night left me a prisoner to the dangerous shadow beasts.

I thought that was the end of me. I had no idea it would be the beginning. The beginning of falling in love with dangerous shifters. The beginning of a war I never knew was taking place, but still, a war that could destroy our very world, pulling it into the shadow realm.

Once upon a time I was average, forgotten, and overlooked. But now? Now, I might be the answer to winning this war.

The thing is, all wars have losses. And after all my heartbreak, can I handle losing anything more?

Stolen by Shadow Beasts is a steamy reverse harem romance featuring sexy shadow beast shifters. It is the complete collection, including: Shifters’ Fae Captive, Shifters’ Secret Sin, and Shifters’ Lost Queen.

Could use some work.

Over all I didn’t hate the book. The narrator did a good job telling the story with emotion and great inflection. The story is a reverse harem. When this particular genre comes up it’s smoking hot and there is usually alot of action with several combinations. Even if this was a slow build over the three books, it never hits the mark. There is a lot of book and what feel like not enough action. The ending is good and I am glad that I finished the story over.

It's Okay

If you are running out of epic paranormal reverse harems to listen to then this one was okay i guess. Was is amazing, no. Was it bad, also no. The alpha male protectiveness is on point, the sexy times were okay but not descriptive or long enough. Also lots of steam and internal monologs about sex with little actual sex. We got one good group scene but all the rest was M/F solo missions. No kink, no M/M, not a lot of fun (all very caveman). Our FMC made me want to punch her in the face, super whiney and super irritating. The Men were Great!! The fact that Onyx lost his hearing and uses sign language only added to him as a character.

Lastly the narration was good. I will just NEVER understand why an author thinks that I want to spend 15 hours with characters to have the final battle with 25 min left. Then 4 minutes of a several months later???? Why???? It's horrible to not give them some good wrap up/closure moments at the end. The ending made this book not worth a recommendation for me. SKIP IT.

Okay, but super annoying FMC

As another reviewer said, this book was just ok. I actually liked most of the characters--except Lacey. I swear she doesn't do a single thing in this series of her own volition except whine and sulk in denial. Denial of her own feelings, denial of truths she would rather not face, denial of choices (that aren't even hers to make) that she doesn't like.

The only thing she ever really contributes is her fancy light magic, but it really just does its own thing whenever it's needed. It's not like she developed any kind of skill or insight to wield it.

If so much of the series hadn't dragged on through her pathetic internal monologuing though, it would have been pretty good. Unique story for this genre, well developed characters, action, decent (though not that hot, IMO) sexytimes, only moderately unhealthy romance.

I probably won't read anything else from this author though. I liked the Reaper series better than this one, and the Paranormal Prison series best of the three. But there was enough that grated on me in all three that I'm probably done.
