About this listen

Rob is called to a hospital where he finally meets a man he has known all his life. The man begs to tell Rob "the rest of the story".

The dying gentleman's tale takes Rob to a Chesapeake Bay town in Virginia, in 1931, to relatives and very dear family and friends he didn't know existed.

He hears a saga that opens with the sweet charm of an old Disney movie, grows tense, becomes frightful, and ends tragically. Rob is left with a mission. Fix any mendable portion of the broken souls in the old man's wake.

This was like watching The Waltons on TV

Small Virginia town, Depression Era challenges, a powerful and heartwarming story, woven with wonderful family values. The narrator's native Virginia accent is an additional treat!
