Wonderful story

This was one of my favorite books yet. The narration was excellent and having a male and female tell the story was amazing.

My favorite Lisa Wingate to date!

Johanna Parker has been a favorite narrator of mine for a while, Scott Sowers now ranks right up there with her. The story was very good, with the right amount of mystery, suspense, and a touch of romance. As all of Wingates books, this one is clean, opens up thought provoking spiritual struggles, but tells of less than perfect lives and how we deal with what we've been given. Can't wait for the rest of the series!

Good clean love story

After finishing ALL of Lynn Austin’s books I was searching for a comparable author. Lynn writes Christian historical fiction books, with a salvation message intertwined. While a few of Lisa’s books are based on historical events, they are clean books about people of faith. The faith part is not a significant thread in the stories. While in Lynn’s books they are. It depends on what you are looking for. Lisa’s books are a easy listen. I enjoy them. I would recommend them. This book in particular is not based on a historical event.

Overcoming adversity is always an encouraging story. A good read. Even if a bit unrealistic, liked it.

Sweet Inspiration

I have read and listened to a lot of books and I can count on one hand how many times I have been moved to tears. The ending of this book definitely inspired a few. The author has a beautiful way with words, and she knows how to get a point across.

I like a romance that is sweet and clean, but not Hallmark. It’s a tough sweet spot to find. Lisa Wingate doesn’t disappoint. Johanna Parker is an amazing narrator. I always had a few favorite readers, but when I discovered Johanna, she nudged the others out of the way with the toe of her scruffy Texas boot. Scott Sowers did a decent job, too.
