About this listen

For Mack McKinley and his team of GhostWalker killing machines, urban warfare is an art. But despite a hard-won knowledge of the San Francisco streets, Mack knows from experience that too many things can still go wrong. Danger was just another part of the game--and now he's come face-to-face with a woman who can play just as tough. She's Jaimie, a woman with a sapphire stare so potent it can destroy a man. Years ago she and Mack had a history--volatile, erotic, and electric. Then she vanished. Now she's walked back into Mack's life, as a spy with more secrets than are good for her. Against all odds, she's hooking up with Mack one more time to take on an enemy that could destroy them both, or bring them back together in a no-holds-barred adrenaline rush.

Ghostwalker Awesomeness !

Any additional comments?

The Ghostwalker series has been a real treat for me. I have now bought all the books in the series that is on Audible allowed from with-in New Zealand. I would happily send more money on the series if they release the rest. Sadly this is the end for me. It' been a great journey listening to the stories and watching the Ghostwalkers world develop and expand. If your looking for a series with lust / love/ fantasy/family/alpha kick ass men/ action and much more - this is the one for you. Ghostwalkers are Hott stuff !!

Exciting Storyline and Alpha Protectors; Woo hoo!

Christine Feehan is a master at what she does. The Ghostwalker series is her best. Street Game is an exciting continuation of this great series. The 8th book in this series, Street game has a storyline that fleshes out characterizations for an entire team of Ghostwalkers in this popular series. Mack McKinley is the leader of his team, and he and his fellow Ghostwalkers return to San Francisco to find and protect Jaimie Fielding, the one member of their group who fled years ago to protect her heart and establish a life of her own away from the overprotective men who have watched over her since she was a young girl.

I love how well this whole team of characters comes alive in this story. I am hoping to see more of the team in years to come because now I am totally invested in these men. I read all of the books in this series, and so I know some of them have already received their story, but I'm still eagerly awaiting more. Some reviews indicate that the men are far too controlling in this book. I disagree. Jamie is a strong woman who clearly has established a life for herself apart from these men, so she is not the kind of woman to allow herself to be controlled. I think Jamie has finally reached a place in her life where she is ready to confront the strong feelings she escaped when she ran from Mack and the rest of the team. Now she has the maturity to see and accept the protective tendencies of Mack and the men she grew up with, and she has the strength to stand up and demand explanations for past misunderstandings.

In this book, Jamie and Mack find their way back to each other romantically, and there are plenty of sex scenes there, but I love how the rest of the men also settle in the warehouses Jamie has purchased on the waterfront, and want to establish a base that they can all call 'Home'. The urban setting and the concept of 'urban warfare' is very interesting. I won't give it away, but there are some exciting turns, betrayal, and answers as well as more questions about the demented Dr. Whitlney.

I love Tom Stechshulte as narrator. With so many male characters, the deep male voice is a welcome choice for this book.

Street Game

This is a return to this one in audio form this time and it was GREAT. I am revisiting this series and having a wonderful time. Mack and Jaimie are meant to be together but separated when she couldn't take the violence of the life. Now she is in trouble and they are brought back together and nothing is going to break them apart. Working together, they rescue hostages and cement the bond of the team. Definitely worth the revisit!

One of the best in the series

This book together with Predatory Game is, in my opinion, the best in the series (I've read them all). The story line is filled with suspense and the characters are interesting. The narration by Tom Stechschulte is just phenomenal - I love his voice!

Great book!! I can't wait to listen to the next!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Street Game to be better than the print version?

I can't say, I have not read the print version.

What other book might you compare Street Game to and why?

I haven't listened to other books like this one. I normally am not into the sci-fi adventures, but this one has captured my attention and I will listen to the rest of the series.

What about Tom Stechschulte’s performance did you like?

Yes

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I think the sex scenes could be toned down a-bit, but overall the description of the talents of the team was magnificent.

Any additional comments?

I loved it!!

Great bringing together of characters

I love how Feehan has woven together the teams with these tiny threads and friendships. I cannot wait to see how teams 1, 2, 3 come together has this series progresses. On to the next book. If you enjoy action, heat, intrigue then really you shouldn't miss this series.
