Hosts of the podcast
Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know, Ben Bowlin, Matthew Frederick, & Noel Brown discern conspiracy fact from fiction regarding "stuff" the government doesn’t want you to know.

Conspiracies didn’t always seem so clear and present. It used to be that people with tin-foil hats who were convinced of secret messages coming through the radio were easily disregarded as kooks and looney tunes. But these days, conspiracies feel alive and well. From internet rumors to lying politicians to the tinderbox that is social media, it’s become remarkably clear that a vast swath of people believe really bonkers things.

Why is that? How did these theories proliferate? Is there a kernel of truth to it or are they fully fiction? Ben Bowlin, Matt Frederick, and Noel Brown are the hosts of the popular iHeart podcast that seeks to answer these questions. With cool heads and extensive research, they regularly break down the wildest conspiracy theories: from chemtrails and biological testing to the secrets of lobbying and why the Kennedy assassination is of perennial interest.

Written in smart, witty, and conversational style, Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know is a vital audiobook in helping to understand the unexplainable and use truth as a powerful weapon against ignorance, misinformation, and lies.

The author’s story and how they presented it riveted me to the car seat. My long business trips seemed short listening to these folks.

Great read and gives the context of real conspiracies and how people, then, could start to believe in far fetched claims being true.

Required reading for a post-truth world

It’s become all too common for most of us to either blindly dismiss or blindly embrace these conspiracy theories. This book does an excellent job of supplying the need for a reminder to take a critical look at these theories and the grains of truth at the heart of them as well as teaching us how to do that. I have both the print and audiobook versions and I highly prefer the audiobook version as Ben, Matt, and Noel narrate it themselves and that gives it a similar feel to the podcast. I’ve been through many excellent books in the past few months, but this is easily my favorite.

I’m already hoping for a second volume

You NEED this book!
Although I pre-ordered the Audible book after enjoying both the podcast and YouTube Channel, I wasn't quite sold on a book form. I should not have worried. This book is so informative! After listening I am so happy with my purchase, I decided to buy the hardback book to add to my small yet important library.
I look forward to "the guys" writing a second book, hoping they will tackle cryptids.

don't listen to this on long car rides!

I couldn't wait for this book to be released and it is wonderful but the narrator has such a comforting voice that it is too soothing for my 2 hour commute.

It will make you rethink your positions
