A cabinet of anecdotes

The author was a great narrator. Hearing the book rather reading it on the page makes these curiosities so much more memorable.

Fantastic!

Love this! Liks 5 minute mysteries or mysteries at the museum. Short historical stories. Near perfect narration. Very enjoyable.

Love all of Aaron Mahnke and crew’s podcasts

This is a really great collection of his research and stories. The interviews were really nice in there. The difference in style between the stories that the interviews was a bit jarring at first.

Cool stories, annoying conversation

I like Mahnke’s books so was kind of excited the podcast stories were now in book form as I enjoy weird history but not podcasts. The stories were interesting but every few chapters “bonus conversations” happened. I skipped them, but it was annoying to have to do so to get to other stories. This was essentially a long-form podcast.
