Divorce is only the beginning of Feighlynn’s journey to love.
When Feighlynn's husband leaves her for another woman, she doesn't fight it. Even in the face of betrayal, all she wants is what’s best for her children. So she puts on a brave face and carries on for them.
Life goes on…
A year passes, and the dust is finally settled. Co-parenting becomes easier, even with her ex-husband lingering around more than he should. Feighlynn is content with her two kids and dog named Kevin. They are adjusted to their new normal… until a new neighbor moves in across the street.
Kevin Trude is a newly retired Army veteran moving back home to take care of his ailing mother. When the cute single mother across the street loses control of her dog, human Kevin comes to her rescue. Even though he had long sworn off love, he is instantly attached to Feighlynn’s kindness and quirks.
As the two become closer, life gets complicated again as Feighlynn’s ex decides he wants her back.
Will life finally break her, or will Feighlynn finally succeed in finding true love?

  • "I held out on reading this book because I really love her supernatural ones but I don't know why I hold out on the romance ones. They tend to be some of my favorites. This book is fantastic. You won't regret reading it."
  • "I had to cry right along with Feighlynn with that letter from Vin... It has truly become my favorite action hero."
  • "I have read many of C. Hazelwood's books and not once have I been disappointed. This authors writing style is unique , she has a way of captivating her readers. This book is proving to be one of my favorites. I absolutely love it. "
  • "I have been getting tired of the stories written lately. They all have some dire thing happen and it takes forever to get through it to the happiness. I am happy to say that book may be one I'll read again. I really liked it."

The virtual voice isn't bad but it isn't good either. There are moments where it takes away from the story and others were you don't even notice it's virtual voice. I wish this was a real narrator because I read and listen to this book and the story is one of the best for a cheating romance that I've listened to. This story dives into the trama that is inflicted not just on the adults but on the children when cheating is involved. There is love, pain, anger and so much resentment in not just the adults but the kids. The kids take a big role in this book and it's nice because eventually the father has to realize the real damage he caused wasn't just to his wife but his children. The children are complete opposite of each other. The real relationship of this book was slow burn but felt real and well earned after everything. Karma really had plans for characters in this book but the author didn't take it to far or to light with punishments. I was happy with ever ending to characters. This story deserves more readers but also a narrator that will bring the story to life.

great story but needs a narrator for better audio.
