About this listen

When Parker Blanton meets Ben Olsen during her freshman year of college, the connection is immediate - and platonic. Six years later, they're still best friends, sharing an apartment in Portland's trendy Northwest District as they happily settle into adult life. But when Parker's boyfriend dumps her out of the blue, she starts to wonder about Ben's no-strings-attached approach to dating. The trouble is, even with Ben as her wingman, Parker can't seem to get the hang of casual sex - until she tries it with him.

The arrangement works perfectly...at first. The sex is mind blowing, and their friendship remains as solid as ever, without any of the usual messy romantic entanglements. But when Parker's ex decides that he wants her back, Ben is shocked by a fierce stab of possessiveness. And when Ben starts seeing a girl from work, Parker finds herself plagued by unfamiliar jealousy. With their friendship on the rocks for the first time, Parker and Ben face an alarming truth: Maybe they can't go back. And maybe, deep down, they never want to.

Critic reviews

"It's my kind of book, sexy and witty, and the banter between the characters is off the charts." (Sidney Halston, author of Laid Out)

All Kinds Of Feel Goods

I absolutely adored this book. It was very well written and completely addicting. And although completely predictable, it was the best kind of predictability when you need a book to swoon over. I can't wait to bust this book out in between deep, emotional reads when I need to smile and laugh.

love it

This is a sweet love story was enough heat in it to keep your attention. If we could all find our own Ben.

My Heart

I absolutely loved this book. By far one of the best books I’ve read. Totally relatable and eerily real.

great love story

this is a five star love story with a great couple. if you're looking for a rom-com look elsewhere. there are couple smiles here and there, not many. the H and the h are both wonderful. low drama, no cheating. the narrators complimented each other perfectly. this is a rare story that I didn't have to play either at a significantly higher rate of speed, which I very much enjoyed. peace

GREAT !!!

I really loved this book. I have to admit that I got it because of Mason Lloyd's narration, he's one of my favorites, but I quickly liked the author. I'm moving on to more of her books.

In love with a trope

There’s no better love than the no holds barred BFF girl/guy BFF love, and Blurred Lines is no exception. However, despite my love for the trope of BFFS TO LOVERS I could not stand Allison Pike’s narration of Parker. In addition to that I read many reviews that said the same thing, and some reviews that were less than awed by Layne’s representation of the common trope in this book. Some readers said that Parker was too matronly and that Ben was the forever immature never commit to anything including a career. That is explained if you bother to read/listen. As for Allison Pike’s representation of Parker, her voice is harsh and staccato. It hammers at you ears unpleasantly no matter what speed you slow it down to.

Great Story

I really enjoyed how refreshing this story was even though it was a friends to lovers plot. Worth the $
