Decided Not to Buy the Original

This book was helpful in making my decision not to buy the original text. I've never been captivated by Stoicism. However, I want to see if Ryan Holiday had a better take on it. I found the advice to be generic. You could find any text on Stoicism that would share with you the same wisdom. FastReadsd gets four stars for saving me the money to buy the original.

The narration is surprisingly dispassionate. It sounds like the narrator is bored. I'd actually bought this book specifically because I liked one of the narrator's other works. The topic deserves a narrator who sounds confident and strong, not bored.

Fast and potent

You have to concentrate and fill in the scenarios, but if you have enough life experience, this is a perfectly fine way to enjoy this book.

Terrible cliche filled poor performance

A waste of time and money.

Advice like "be persistent"

Yikes really equal to depth of a hallmark greeting card.
