About this listen

After the loss of her husband a year ago, Grace Evans can’t continue with her career or her life in the city any longer. Lost emotionally, she sells her law practice and decides to spend her summer among the sandy beaches of Florida, taking care of an old inn in Naples Beach with her childhood friend Susan Willows.

Maybe the lush palm trees and sun-drenched days filled with sand between her toes will help her find direction again. What she doesn’t expect to find is a secret tucked away in an old hidden locket that will change her life forever.

And making things more complicated is local sailor Ethan Barret. She only wanted to relax and let the warm ocean breeze repair her broken heart. But Ethan surprises her in ways she could have never imagined…

An uplifting summer escape that will strengthen your family bonds and have you believing in the incredible power of love. If you’re looking for a feel-good, small-town romance, look no further.

Dislike the AI narration

Pretty well written book with poor narrative via AI. Mispronunciation of several words that gave me pause while listening.

AI ;(

Took a while to get use to listening to AI voice, I sped it up & slowed it down, just no emotion, only words. Then do your homework as a writer, anyone that has gone thru a divorce in FL knows that is NOT at all how it works SMH.....

Story was good. Virtual Reading not so much!

The story was fine. Did NOT like the virtual reading. Please use real people to record books.

Great story!

I enjoyed the story very much and will look for this author again. But I did not enjoy the virtual voice. It mispronounced words, had no feelings or pitch. I will not listen to another one. This is one thing you can’t replace humans with technology!
