Story
My father disowned me, just like my sister before me. Fortunately, one of my brothers took me into his home. I’m picking up the pieces, learning to handle my grandmother’s bakery… And dealing with my brother’s best friend. Henrik Tremblay is grumpy, infuriating, and too handsome for my broken heart. It’s impossible to avoid him in this small town. And when my grandmother pushes us to organize the annual love festival. . . I get the feeling only one of us will come out of this alive.

If practice makes perfect, I should excel at pretending that Heath Miller doesn’t affect me. That I’m immune to that wide jaw, taut body, and the unique woodsy-aftershave-engine-oil scent that makes my ovaries explode. Since before I could walk, he’s been my champion. My best friend. The one problem I can’t solve. Why? If I tell him I love him, I’ll lose him and his adorable daughter. Maybe the best Christmas gift I can give him—and myself—is to turn in the keys to my B&B and put some distance between us.

Logan Murphy should come with a warning. He’s as hot as a Carolina Reaper on black asphalt in the middle of July. With perfectly messy dark hair and smoldering blue eyes—and don’t even get me started on the way that black tee stretches across his toned chest… He’s my brother’s best friend. He’s also a football star on track to win the first wide-receiver MVP in league history. Good thing I only date golfers… or I did.

Story
Six years ago, Maria Romano got her birthday wish—a kiss from Enzo Costa. A man she could never take her eyes off, but who seemed as haunted as her favorite book boyfriends and strictly off-limits. Just one unforgettable moment in the dark and then he was gone. Now Maria is a divorced single mom, moving on and open to romance again. Fatefully, it’s with the new head chef at her sister’s restaurant: Enzo. A gentler man than the one she remembers, yet fire still burns. And a warning still lingers: don’t get too close.

Story
I don’t have time for flings. Love is out of the question. As a single mom and small-town doctor, my plate is more than full. But when Drake Kershaw, an experienced physician with a mysterious past, comes into my life, I can't resist his charm. He’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met before. Drake is smart, charming, and has a heart of gold. But he’s also grumpy and hesitant to let anyone close. Like the rest of his wealthy family, he’s full of secrets. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s dangerous. I should stay away, but how can I when he works in my practice?

For a long time now, I’ve despised Weston Shaw. He’d been someone I’d admired, taking my favorite football team, the Colorado Mustangs, to the Super Bowl. But that all turned upside down after one night that had nothing to do with me. We share one undeniable connection: his son, Caleb. Unfortunately, the circumstances behind that have never been my story to tell. But now, the truth is out, and I’m left to deal with the consequences. I’m living under the same roof as Weston, and each day, I discover a side of him I never expected.

One letter changed my life. One night with him might change my forever. Inheriting a beach house in a small town you've never heard of is less than ideal. Falling for the broody bar owner who hates me because he wants the house? Even worse. I came to Carrington Cove for one reason: to renovate the home I knew nothing about, sell it, and get back to my life in D.C. and my multi-million dollar business. There was nothing on the agenda about falling for Dallas, the sexy former Marine who chastises me about my manners and withholds how to fend off the murderous geese on my property.

I’ll be ready to date again…someday…maybe after my boys are in college and I finally have the energy to think about myself. For now, I’m content to stick to my late-night fantasies about a certain coffee-bringing, suit-wearing flirt. At least, that’s what I tell myself until Dillon Freaking Henry shows up on my doorstep in my hometown, demanding that I let him out of the friend zone.

Story
Johnny Decker, #12. Star quarterback for the Boston Tomcats. Two-time Super Bowl MVP...a decade ago. Nickname: "Decker the Panty Wrecker". When we lose our beloved team owner, his estranged daughter inherits the Tomcats. I don’t know which is worse—the fact that she’s a finance nerd from New York who knows less than nothing about football...or that I mistook her for a secretary when we first met. She’s stubborn, uptight, infuriating, looks way too good in a skirt, and she’s wrong about absolutely everything—from pizza to how to run my team.

The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Sweet novella
What a sweet novella that gives us a summer romance that turns into so much more. When Lavender is wronged by her ex she is encouraged to return to Kentbury, her hometown, and recoup and regroup. What she finds when she gets there adds to her stress. Sinclair is back in Kentbury with his siblings to escape the fact his ex-wife is getting married. Even though it has been eight years he is still alone. When he meets Lavender he starts to want things he never thought he would and they both find what was missing in their lives.
Grace Grant and Connor Crais narrate this novella and I enjoyed them both. I love this small town and how the love seems to flow from it. It's a sweet book.

Wonderful Story & Listen🎧Heartfelt & Delightful!
It is great to be back in Kentbury for another amazing tale, a heartwarming small town romance that is captivating from start to end. There is nothing like a summer romance, even for those who were not looking and never saw it coming. This fourth book of the series is Lavender and Sinclair McFolley’s story and it packs a whole lot of story for a novella sized book, one I could not get enough of. Lavender needs to get away and goes to their family’s home in Kentbury, but as she is settling in she gets unexpected visitors, the new owners. Her parents never told her they sold the home and the new owners were understanding of her mistake, but the brother who did not seem to fit in was not. Sinclair is a busy man, but he made some time to help his siblings run a summer camp, besides he could use the break, especially after hearing his ex is getting remarried. It was great to watch Lavender and Sinclair get to know each other, and even find themselves. I loved how everything played out, and the dialogue and back-and-forth banter were brilliant, both in person and via text. This wonderfully written and plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, charm, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn and steamy romance. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride. Escapism at its best, an enjoyable summer romance to enjoy anytime of the year!
🎧📚🎧 The perfect pairing, Connor Crais and Grace Grant, did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and was believable in every role. Crais nailed it as Sinclair, perfectly grumpy to so much more, and Grant was just as fabulous as Lavender, grasping all aspects of her personality. Both were equally amazing performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevates this already fantastic story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

4 1/2 stars. Enjoyed the story and narration.
4 1/2 stars for me. This was a fun story. Kentbury worked its magic once again. Lavender came to get herself together, planning on staying at the family home. Surprised, Lavender found that it no longer belonged to her family. Sinclair came to Kentbury to help his family and take a needed break from work. Lavender and Sinclair lit a spark which grew as they worked at the summer camp. I enjoyed the witty banter and blossoming love as these two found their HEA.
The narration by Grace Grant and Connor Crais added a lot of emotion and life to the story. They kept me listening to the story.
I was given a copy, and this is my unsolicited review.

Charming, heartfelt love story!
Kentbury swept me away again in this charming, heartfelt love story! There's nothing better than a small town romance, where everyone is close-knit, and love blossoms in the most unexpected places. Lavender and Sinclair are both at a crossroads in their life, and came to Kentbury to rejuvenate. Lavender was betrayed and needs to find the happiness she had when vacationing in Kentbury as a young girl, and Sinclair is a workaholic who is afraid he isn't cut out for true love. Their first meeting was awkward, but they soon connected, building a friendship they both needed. Their slow-burn attraction and relationship was so beautiful to witness. I loved how they were there for each other as they navigated through the situations that had them running to Kentbury in the first place. This book was so precious. Despite being a novella, it had wonderful depth, and authentic raw emotion that made it easy to be drawn in and fall in love with Lavender and Sinclair too. I loved watching Lavender bloom and find her footing, and watch broody Sinclair's walls fall as he fought for himself and for love. I also loved seeing Sinclair's family who I grew to care for from past books.
I really enjoyed listening to the wonderful narration by Grace Grant and Connor Crais! Grant's voice and intonations are so gleeful even as she expresses deeper emotions and Crais easily portrayed Sinclair from broody to charming and swoony. They were absolutely perfect as Lavender and Sinclair, and I was completely absorbed in their performance. I really enjoyed this heartwarming story, with all it's feels, and it had me smiling big when I was finished.

The best was saved for last!
This may be my favorite installment in Kentbury Tales. It was a perfect summer novella if you love a vacation fling that turns into the sweetest HEA. It was sweet and a little spicy but cute and fun at the same time.
Lavender and Sinclair (Lav & Sin) didn't exactly hit it off at first but that quickly changed once they got a chance to know each other. It was clear they had a connection but both were overcoming traumas from past relationships. The comfort and healing they found in one another was heartwarming.
The text exchanges while they were long distance "friends" made them grow closer than I think either of them realized until they were reunited. Sin definitely fell first but Lav wasn't far behind. When they finally connected on a deeper (intimate) level it was game over for both of them.
Grace Grant and Conner Crais were fantastic as Lav and Sin. They narrated this couple perfectly.
I'll gladly take a trip to Kentbury anytime!

Wonderful narration for a fantastic story
I love my visits to Kentbury and Sinclair McFolley and Lavender’s journey is a wonderful addition to the series. If you love small town romance look no further than Claudia Burgoa’s latest series. What starts as a friendship could soon becomes so much more if they are prepared to take a leap of faith and jump into the world of love. Connor Crais and Grace Grant did a wonderful job bringing the characters and their story to life. They were spot on with the chemistry, the banter and the friendship and they were also very easy to listen to. Summer In Kentbury is a well written, entertaining, friends to lovers romance that I highly recommend. Can’t wait to see where Ms Burgoa takes us next.
